I only read the first page but a machine head is on the headstock and a tuner is something you plug into to tune your instrument. It's the damn yanks that started calling machine heads "tuners"

2 P-Bass pick ups? Such a horrible idea. P bass and Jazz Bridge would make it so much nicer.

Hey all, I'm looking to replace the standard black knobs that come on a jazz bass and replace them with 2 similar to what would be on a P bass (silver) with a slightly smaller one for the tone control. I tried just removing the ones from my Squier P Bass to put on my Jazz bass (Fender) but the type of pot shaft that holds them on is different. The one on the P-Bass are some sort of split screw shaft thing, while the pots shafts on the jazz bass are just bronze / coppery normal shafts. If anyone could shed some light of the proper names of them, and if anyone knew where I could get a set of volume + tone controls that would fit on the desired bass (MIM Jazz) cheers, Davey

If I had the money, I would definately go for [url="http://www.ibanez.com/BassGuitars/model-SR5006E"]http://www.ibanez.com/BassGuitars/model-SR5006E[/url] Especially if you already have an Ibanez. Best looking 6 string I personally think too, none of this horrible body shape nonsense.

I would just go for the Babicz, however I ordered one off the bass centre about a month ago and I'm still waiting on it! I phoned the guy up to ask about it and he was just extremely rude over the phone.. wouldn't recommend them.

Just got a set of these cause they were going cheap on eBay, I'm planning on putting them on my jazz bazz but keeping it in standard. Will it play okay, or will the neck need adjusted due to the higher gauge cheers, Davey

I know what you mean about not being able to hear a difference, I can hear a difference on my Jazz Bass but I think if you're going to mod something a nice bridge is the icing on the cake.

get a new bridge on there... Babicz Full Contact Hardware > Badass II.

I don't know how ANYONE can play on Nylon Bass Strings... feels so horrible.
