Selling my Pitchblack as I forgot I even had it!! (therefore I really don't need it) bought it earlier this year and have used it at one gig. Still in the box with instruction manuel (you probably wouldn't need it as its that easy to use). If you want pics i'll happily take some and post them up. Check on google etc. for more info if you need it Im looking for SOLD as it has no damage and has barely been used (that also includes the postage)... and i'll throw in a 9v battery Cheers! Mike.

Hi, This sounds interesting and i'm liking the songs. Something different to add to my portfolio too! I would like to get involved if possible? Do you have bass parts written or would I have to crate them myself? Here are some tracks that i recorded last year. I have just recorded on a more up to date metal album so i can send you over some tracks of my playing if you want to hear more http://soundcloud.com/mikegrovesmusic/devils-eyes-craig-wright http://soundcloud.com/mikegrovesmusic/another-day-craig-wright I hope to hear from you! Hi Everyone, Here is a link to my Youtube channel. Just some covers here. looking to get more done soon and make a habit of doing so. some of the stuff old and i've re-uploaded it cause youtube blocked it. This brings me to another question. Does anyone get there videos they post blocked? most of mine come up with matched third party content and get blocked in certain places some of them world wide :/ does anyone know why mine get blocked and other peoples covers of the same song can be viewed? Anyway I would appreciate if anyone could take the time to listen to some of the stuff. Feedback would be great (as there are many, many pro's on here) Thanks http://www.youtube.com/TheMikegroves1

are you wanting to learn all aspects of theory? chords, scales etc. I'd suggest looking at the LCM grades, it's pop music theory more suited to us bass players, although i wouldnt rule out the classical stuff. if you go with ABRSM its all classical. I'd suggest anything you learn to apply to the instrument it was the quickest way for me to learn scales etc. and it really helps with general improvements to your playing http://www.popularmusictheory.org/ this website will lead you to the books and they have all the info in them as well as worksheet exercise things to put the theory into practice. I did my Grade 8 theory last year and come september i'll be training as a music teacher so if you need any help or tips feel free to get in touch
Have a look on ebay. I insure with Allianz. Very good company - I use their litigation insurance too and they pay up when they are supposed to. Can't ask for more than that!
thanks for the advice.

Hi everyone, I need some advice about insuring my yamaha trb6p mk1. I have up to £2000 pounds cover with the MU and was wondering how much I should list the yamaha for? I don't know how much they cost when it was made as i was a 1 year old haha. I bought it for £900 from a fellow basschatter, but to get a replacement instrument of the same quailty i'm not sure how much i'd have to spend :S any advice on this would be great. Cheers!!

mikegrovesmusic replied to mikegrovesmusic's topic in Repairs and Technical
Hi. What bass is it and what size key fits? How long are the grub screws? Might be able to help.
i dont know the size of the key, its the smallest one i have though. it fits standard fender ones and badass bridges though if that helps? its for a yamaha trb6p 1992 model. i'll post a picture up at some point soon, a bit busy at the min though thanks for your help though guys! -
Hi, Can anybody help me please. I decided that my action needed some tweaking today, however my bass is rather old so through wear the bit where you put the allen key in to adjust has worn :/ I want to replace all 12 grub screws (on my sixer) and have looked on ebay for a pack. The problem is there are different sizes. Can anybody help me with this? I'm pretty sure its a universal thing on all guitar bridges as the same alan key fits allen. If you could post a link up to some or just give me the name it would be a massive help Thanks in advance, Mike..

Hi, I have some music theory and bass books, that are aimed between grades 6-8. As i am grade 8 in these areas i no longer require them and thought it would be good to sell them on. The books include: Used but good condition, dents on front of books and general wear due to use. - RGT Bass Guitar Playing, London College of Music Exams: Grade Six to Grade Eight. (Green Book) - RGT Bass Guitar Playing, London College of Music Exams: Grade Three to Grade Five. (Red Book) - London College of Music Popular Music Theory Grades Six to Eight. (The book that isnt a specific colour) Excellent Condition, as if new. - ABRSM Music Theory In Practice Grade 8. (Light Blue Book) - ABRSM Music Theory In Practice Grade 7. (Purple Book) - ABRSM Music Theory In Practice Grade 6. (Pink Book) - ABRSM Theory of Music Exams Grade 8. Past Paper (2009). (White Book) If you were to buy all of these brand new the price on Amazon would be about £67. I am looking for about £30 (including postage) but offers are welcome.
