I've attached photos below and they show the slight bits of cosmetic damage to the front of the head, one of the nuts, the black paint has come slightly where the speak-on attaches and there is some sticker residue from a PAT test sticker on the bottom of the unit. Comes with speak-on, kettle lead, owners manual and this little case from Maplins. It all fits nicely and has some foam protection to stop it moving around. My thoughts: lightweight, reliable, clean and true to sound of bass (little colouring of tone etc.), simple to use, packs a punch. I've decided to sell on my Countryman Ubass as I simply don't play it enough to warrant keeping it, Plus I'd like to put the money to some more useful gear! It's basically like a budget version of a Kala UBass, but it sounds and looks great! I bought it from Bass Direct at the end of 2014. I have gigged it twice and it fit in really well on some acoustic numbers (such as Mumford and sons etc.) [color=#000000][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=3]'A Ukulele bass made with mahogany laminated sides, back and top with mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and Aquila Thundergut strings' It's also fretted as you can see in the photo's and has a little EQ and built in Tuner. [/size][/font][/color] There are a couple of dings which i've included on the photos. I'm also throwing in: A strap w/strap button tie thingy (I don't know what they're called) A Hercules mini folk instrument stand - these usually retail at around £15 And a 1/2 Acoustic guitar soft case. Hi MB1! I've never used either of them so I don't know from experience. I had plans at the start of last year to do some routing and add these pickups to other basses. I got the MC4FE to partner with my PMVC 4 FE/M2 which is currently in my P-Bass as they're both ferrous pole pieces. Never got round to it though and I don't fancy it any more. Apparently the AL gives the tone a warm bass and low-mid response, lets the mids cut through better and adds brightness to the top end. It's a really versatile pickup perfect for replacement in a MM style bass that lacks those qualities. The FE (again, apparently) has punchier bass and top end (really bright highs) compare to the AL. It lets players using drop tunings keep that tight bottom end with extra clarity. Sorry I can't be of any more help! M.
