1. Picked one of these up last week. Been curious about them since they were announced but never really had a need for one. Till now...... Did my research and thankfully there are some better demo's out there now and not just the dodgy NAMM ones, even one by our very own DooD! Endorsed by Rex Brown and Alex Webster so it must be cool Anyway, I play in two distinct bands, one Rock with an electric and one acoustic with a Godin so wanted something that could cover both of these and give me a DI as the electric gig may go to no backline. Its very feature heavy but the main things that piqued my interest were the PZB booster on channel one, the drag control and of course the OD. I've owned a v1 Bassbone before but felt it limiting for me personally as it only had the one EQ; step up Bassbone OD with two, one ofr each of the channels. It also has selectable mid frequency and a HPF. Other goodies include an Effects Loop, mute switch and headphone amp. For the rock band I need a bit of dirt for a few songs (Motorhead, Muse) but mainly play clean so thought this could replace my dirt on the pedal board. Anyway I arrived at band practive ready to AB the Bassbone OD with my current set up and dirt only to find my pedal board power supply wouldn't work and it was too far to go and get a replacement. Argh! Anyway I evetually hooked up the Bassbone OD as it had its own 15volt supply and use the 9 volt supply for my Mic Mechanic for my tuner. So signal chain was Bass - Bassbone OD - Amp with the tuner out connected to my um tuner! Well it saved my bacon! Great sounds form the unit, I was able to mute easily and tune as required and the Dirt was really great. Its very tweakable and can go from subtle OD to near Fuzz with the tone control up plus the wet/dry mix is great. Didn't use the PZB boost function but I was extremely pleased with my sound. I'm also looking to recording with this too. For me its my ideal tool as Its got built in dirt that can give you different flavours and a great eq. Looking forward to using this on my acoustic gig.
  2. performed flawlessly at practice last night. Still cracks me up, turning round to see this tiny box delivering great bass!
  3. Continually amazed by my Amp One. Can't believe what it does for such a tiny package

  5.
They are wonderful little amps aren't they? So handy and useful and they seem to punch WELL above their weight. Frank.
Yeah. Just epic. Words can't describe how over the moon I am with.
  6. used this in anger now although not for my Rock Covers band sadly. I've used this at My rock covers band practice with a loud drummer and the master was barely up. Gigged it at a festival for my acoustic project with a Godin A4 and DI'd it into the desk. Sounded great. Used it last night at a jazz cafe type gig and it sounded brilliant. Really please with it and loving the small form factor couple with a relativity light weight. Compressor useful too.
  7. interested in a Hookers green bass machine as a trade?
12AX7 is the American name for the British ECC83, just as 12AU7 is the 'murican for ECC82. I used to run mine with an ECC82 for less gain, but these days I'm back on ECC83s for a bit more filth. They are interchangeable in this particular pedal. FWIW I've never had a problem losing the D and G strings with it engaged either - do you still have this problem without the VT1 turned on?
I put one of these in ECC83/12AX7-M-GROOVE TUBES

I put an ECC83 In mine
  11.
I fancy it for recording rather than live use, hoping it negates the need for a digital amp modeller. B7K > Omnicabsim > interface, to get a mic'ed cab sound.
That could be for a win. Opted to just straight DI today as I need more time with the OmniCabSim to get comfortable with it
  12.
Hesitated about buying one of these for ages, how is it! Calling dibs if you ever decide its not for you!
Not had chance to play with it yet but got an open air festival gig tomorrow I'm planning on using it at
  13. Arrived today

    Boss CE-2W

Just tried the SD-1w on bass 'kin ace I've really missed my monte albums modded SD-1 clone and this is just the ticket. Custom mode opens it wider too. Hmmm, these waza craft could get addictive
  16.
Does it have HEFT?
I'm very happy with the HEFT
