1. According to the previous thread its 14kg vs the newer version at 12kg. Still feels like an empty suitcase!
2. A few interesting trades but nothing firm yet and i really need to shift one of my Compacts so will now also offer the older one bought from BC's very own Etienne recently. I actually prefer this one, its a little bit heavier and only as the one Speakon but its wonderfully solid. Up for sale including Roqsolid cover for £350. Original thread has pics if you do a search, struggling to post link as am on ipad. Take your pick!
3.
You should give her those back. These cabs usually sell right away, and they should because they're blinkin' amazing. Good luck mate.
They are indeed, easy to pick up even with my hands....
4. Thanks Andy, Looks lovely but alas i have the hands of a girl. Cheers
5. Still for sale. Westie, i will certainly have a think about your offer and get back to you if im interested, cheers. Andy, im guessing that has a chunky p-bass neck? Pic isnt working. Cheers
6. Extremely powerful and versatile rack-mountable power amp. Will drive stereo loads down to 2 ohms with 1200W In bridged mode it will put 2400W into a 4 ohm load. The amp has been PAT tested. The usual scuffs and marks you would expect but this is bombproof (and heavy) piece of kit. Collection from Manchester or could possibly meet/deliver in the NW. 7. Mint condition, never gigged, includes Roqsolid cover. Bought another Compact here last week as couldnt resist two but its overkill so im going to keep the older heavier one and sell the one i bought new from Alex this summer. Amazing cabs. Price is £450 firm, collected from Manchester or could possibly meet up/deliver in the NW. Interesting trades considered (basses mainly but who knows?) 8. Bought a BF Compact from Etienne, pleasure to deal with and he REALLY looks after his gear. Cheers!
9. Sorry to see it go but glad it found a good home. Im tempted by the Dubster....how limited in its application is it 3below?
10. Ha ha....thanks 3below....I'm starting to think about keeping it....back rehearsing again and couldn't resist hooking it up with my Compact last week....amazing power
11. Yeah I forgot to point out that it's incredibly light as well, thought people might have guessed that with it being Barefaced. I've used it with a GenzBenz Streamliner 900 which would run out of steam way before the cab did. Not happy to see it go and am still toying with selling the Compact instead but not keen to take a hit on something new.
12. Almost as soon as i took the plunge and ordered this, my band disintegrated so it leaves me with all the gear and no idea. Its brand new and boxed, taken out once to test it. Fantastic gadget for those who can afford it and need to be free to "express themselves" Collection from Manchester or will post within UK at cost. 13. Band is currently crumbling and recent delivery of a new Compact means i cant justify hiding this monster in the dining room any longer. One of Alex's early flagship models, dont expect furniture standard fit and finish, this is definitely built for function rather than style, which suits me but isnt everyones cup of tea. Soundwise its incredible, i never came close to exploring its potential and sadly only gigged with it once. It goes very low, check out the cat-swallowing ports, and very loud. A few dings here and there, viewing welcome.
14. Hi All, Ive enjoyed reading all kinds of nonsense on here for well over a year....its cost me a small fortune in gear (thanks) and been an interesting read. Finally decided to reveal myself as I've had something of an epiphany. I've been using a Marshall VBA400 with 4x12 (and 8x10 for a while thanks to a bloke from here) since last Feb but all the talk of lightweight wonders tempted me to part with a load of cash. I couldn't resist the idea of strolling into gigs with my amp in a pony manbag and cab in one hand. I've really tried but alas it cannot compete with the perfect sound I get from the Marshall valves.....it's a keeper. Longtimefred on here is absolutely right (I bought a flight case from him a while back) I'm sticking with valves....they sound better when you get loud, the lightweight gear doesn't. So, hello basschat, I play bass in an originals band in Manchester....with a big heavy loud amp
15. Bought a Barefaced Bigone from Don and it arrived within 3 days from Belgium despite them having a public holiday on one of the days. Outstanding! Many thanks
