I disagree. A seller should be open to questions and transparent about their transaction, the more they are so the more faith potential buyers will have in dealing with them. I was a little perplexed that a second hand item was being offered for about 95% of its new cost and just wondered if there was something I was missing - turns out there was, grill cloth, cover and waiting time...fair enough, and now everyone knows. All good as far as I can see and good luck with the sale. Steve -

Haven't read this whole thread but for sure this sort of thing can be useful, but only really to check if a dealer is bona fide and not a ripoff merchant. So for my input, I've dealt with Mark and Bass Direct several times and all good here, highly recommended. Anything else is just personal preference and personality differences and so each to their own, but in terms of a decent, reputable business, no troubles here at all. Steve

I don't think the bass has a model as it's so old - just made in Romania in the 60s I think they said - and a jump up in quality from the current Chinese offerings, especially now they have put on their own bridge and good strings. The bow says G.Werner on it, and yes I might be prepared to sell it on its own. Thanks, Steve
Is it fully carved or solid top with laminate back and sides?
It was sold to me as carved, I assume that means all over? Sorry, I'm not an expert! I just thought that as it cost me £1790 from Tim Tofft not including ther stand and books there'd be a few bites of interest at £1300 ...I just don't have time to play it now and it's shame to have it sitting there.
