Thanks Dan for your kind words. I'd love to keep it but alas other bills just popped up so will need to let some of my cherished instruments go.

SOLD!

The bass is still at £1500 with the oval tuners and £1250 without. At £1250 the bass doesn't come with any tuners. Hope that's clear. Thanks

SOLD!

Back on sale again! New pics can be found on here http://s42.photobucket.com/user/cayston/library/Bravewood%2066%20Jazz?sort=3&page=1 Note - I no longer have the tuners on the pics.
7. Hi everyone, I am offloading my 1964 Gibson SG Jr. Bought this beauty about 10 years ago but selling it as I no longer play guitar these days. It was professionally refinished many years ago before I bought it in nitro and has a mix of original and non-original parts. It also comes with original case. Original parts: -Pickup -Tuners -Pots and input jack -Bridge -Pickguard -Back plate pickguard Non-original parts: -Finish -Tone and volume knobs -some screws -strap buttons I believe the original colour was cherry red as the pink hue started to bleed through the white nitro finish. The frets are also in good conditions for the age of the guitar and appear original. At one point the tuners were Grovers and the holes had to be enlarged but original tuners are back on with some sort of 'adapter' so that the smaller original tuners can be fitted. Truss rod works perfectly and has plenty of life left. Few dings on the finish but nothing serious and no structural/other damages on the guitar. Has just been professionally serviced and ready to go. Here are the pics http://s42.photobucket.com/user/cayston/library/Gibson%20SG%20Jr%201964?sort=3&page=1 No trades please. I am based in Cardiff but travel to Birmingham during weekends so let me know if you want to view and try the guitar. Any questions please ask! Thanks for looking.

SOLD!

I agree. As I mentioned in the tread, it is just a feeler at the moment so I'm still not 100% sure whether or not I'd like to part with it. I also appreciate that the price might a little steep for some people and that a partial trade/lower price would be more attractive to potential buyers. Alas I've got too many basses at the moment and getting another bass probably isn't the best solution Although it can also be argued that with selling anything, it also depends on the timing and luck. Sometimes I'd see a bass being sold almost immediately after being posted and a similar spec bass would sit on this forum for months. That's just how it is I guess. Oh and I agree with you regarding lollypops

SOLD!

Hello everyone, This is a feeler at the moment but thought I'd give it a try. This is a Bravewood '66 J type that I got custom ordered from John Elliott about 3 years ago. This one is quite special to me as it is my first ever custom ordered Bravewood and had to wait close to a year for it to be completed. It's the usual alder body and maple neck with bound rosewood fingerboard. I've also asked John to re-enforce the neck with two carbon fibre rods for increased stability and to be honest I haven't had to make any adjustments to the neck since receiving it. Bare Knuckles pickups with CTS pots and Switchcraft jack socket. I've also asked John not to distress the finish of the bass so pretty much new. Weight wise, I do not have the exact number but it weights close to my other bass which is around 8.5 lbs. It also comes with original Fender Oval tuners from a real '66 Jazz bass that are in pretty mint condition and in fully working order. These parts are extremely hard to source these days and haven't seen any popping up for sale for quite a while. Condition wise, as previously stated, is in pretty much brand new condition since it was for home use only. To be honest the bass still has the nitro smell on it! There is a very small pin size finish chip on the body that hasn't gone into the wood. Apart from that the bass is completely mint. Unfortunately the bass doesn't come with a hardcase but will be supplied with a gigbag. The reason for selling is my interest has shifted towards 5 string basses these days and it's not being used as much as it should. I am only looking for straight sale so no trades please. The bass is currently located at my parent's place in Suffolk but will be picking it up soon incase of any interests. Here's the link to the pics http://s42.photobuck...z?sort=3&page=1 I am looking for £1500 for the bass as it cost me £1500 to get it built and another £300 for those tuners. I am also willing to let the bass go for £1250 minus the tuners but will not sell the tuners on their own. Any questions please ask and many thanks for looking!
12. Cyril bought a Modulus FU4 from me and I can safely say that he is a really nice man to deal with! I highly recommend him to other basschatters! Enjoy the bass Cyril!

SOLD!

Hi everyone, Selling my 2014 Modulus FU4 that I acquired from a fellow bass chatter back in November last year. It's in an immaculate condition and still has plastic covers on the back plate. Was going to get a pickguard cut for it but never got to it. Here's the link from the previous owner: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2597026 and here's the link to more picture https://www.flickr.c.../127445562@N05/ The main reason why I am selling it is that I have another sparkle Flea Bass which I am highly attached to and cannot justify keeping both basses! In case if anyone wonders, I've A/B both basses with my bass teacher and we both came to the conclusion that both sound/play pretty much identical. This sunburst is slightly warmer (to my ears anyway) compared to the sparkle but it is pretty hard to notice. It plays beautifully and will be sad to see it go! The bass doesn't come with a hardcase but will be supplied with a padded gig bag. NO TRADES PLEASE! Viewings are obviously welcomed and encouraged. I am based in Cardiff but travel to Birmingham most weekends. The price is pretty firm as I'd like to get what I paid for few months back as it's pretty much brand new and unplayed. I've also got in touch directly with the dealer for Modulus and this bass would cost in the region of £3000 if imported to the UK. Thanks for looking and any questions please ask.
16. Ben bought my Warwick SS2. Quick payment and great communications. Highly recommend him to all of you! Thanks again Ben and hope you enjoy it!
