1. Ok - so I understand that it is more efficient to stack cabs in line (such as two 2x10 - so you get a vertical line of 4), but how does that compare with using stands to angle the cabs upwards?

If I ran two 1x12 cabs - should I angle both up, 1 up 1 flat, or stack them traditionally?

I'm sure some will say - whatever sounds nice... and some will say - this is the physics....

    Just curious really!

  2.
Do you mean the Tech 21 RBI? PSI is the guitar one. I think it would be pretty much the same as using my pedal sansamp wouldn't it? Looking out for an SVP, but also considering cloning some simple classic valve head preamp.
Nope - plenty of bassists use the original "guitar" one - the EQ on it is very powerful

  3.
One reason is it keeps the size down, the whole point of the Schroeder cabs.
Why not have the side open as well then and lose that "corner" altogether.

  4.
It's a long story, for perhaps another time, but at last some pics of my new rig, with the new 410L! Hoping for great things as I get the vibe that these are well matched

    Stupid question alert:

As the side of the cab is clearly solid - what is the point of having angled cones pointing at the inside of the cab?

Wouldn't an angled enclosure (like the good old Marshall 412 or a Hartke Pro 2200) be more efficient?

    Absolutely crazy.

    No idea!!

Some eijit will be carbon dating them next!

  6.
What is apparent is that they are significantly different. I managed to crank the DB's up at home to quite high levels without everything in the room resonating in sympathy!Played at band practice tonight. More mids definitely and I like the way they insidiously penetrate the mix without getting extremely bassey.

If you slap a lot I suspect the GS's will be your friend.

Not a huge difference and I'm sure that EQing will level it even more but I'm very pleased. I hope Jas is too but he's owned GS's before so he knows what he's got anyway.

    Aggy 112's, they're all good.

    Ah!

I was wondering which ones to have a look at!!

That solves it -= for I am a slapper!

err... you know what I mean!
