Surprisingly to me nearly two years old, but they're coated strings on a bass i don't play regularly. Definitely need replacing soon as they're sounding quite dead.

Last time Fender attempted to do something different we got the Dimension bass and they were sh*tcanned because nobody wanted them. The usual complaints they didn’t sound enough like a Fender or look enough like a Fender abounded.
I got myself a Squier Dimension earlier this year and quite enjoy it, other than the 400kg weight (Like anything else basswood). Wish they sold better because i'd quite like another one to play around with modding.

Mallory Knox on the 17th of October starts a run of 12 gigs in 2 months, including one stretch where i have 5 in 8 days which is going to kill me off i expect.

Thought i'd add my latest iteration to here after i rebuilt it onto a Templeboard Duo 17. I've got an IO box underneath because the temple mods seem very expensive just do that and it never leaves my bedroom anyway. In - SY-1 - HX Stomp w AO in the loop - M80 just as a DI. I do have space for atleast a couple more pedals though so who knows what else will find it's way on.

I don't currently, but i probably will at some point. It's '95 so i have an awful lot of options to choose from.

Bass - Pedalboard (HX Stomp, Boss SY-1, Darkglass Alpha Omicron) into a Roland OctaPre audio interface and some JBL 305P studio monitors, or a pair of headphones.

My next gig is Punk Rock Factory in a few weeks to kick off a fairly busy month of 5 gigs. Pop punk versions of Disney tunes with a beer or two sounds like a good friday night to me.
The rest of the month consist of Poets Of The Fall, Enter Shikari in Athens, Hot Milk and Against The Current, followed up with As December Falls in early December to round out the year.

I started on Rotosound from 2007-2009ish, then for a change i switched over to EB Slinkies. Those were the choice for two years but i was killing them very quickly with gigs (my record being 40 minutes) so i gave Elixirs a try. Have only used either nickel or steel nanoweb's since then, other than very recently i've put a set of D'Addario XT's on one bass to try them out.
Always 45-105 with either a 130 or 135 B string for the 5.

I've used the MXR M80 for close to 20 years without a hitch
I really enjoyed my M80. Gigged with it for a good few years.
If you're willing to splash a bit more cash, a HX Stomp is hard to beat for the versatility.

It's festival season so it's quiet for a few months. I have Bat (Meat Loaf Tribute) and Slam Dunk North at the end of the month, then Spiritbox in July. After that it's very quiet till Busted in late september.

HX Stomp. It's not perfect and i still have a few other pedals i use for things, but for the most part it does almost everything i need it to.

I'm not gigging these days, but i've been rocking a proper leather Aussie bush hat a la Crocodile Dundee minus the teeth.

Having just played for a few minutes to figure this out, the answer is everywhere. Mostly somewhere between the corner of the pickup and the edge of the pickguard on a P bass.

3 Basses
3 Electric Guitars
1 Acoustic Guitar
1 Ukulele
1 Kalimba

Dunlop Tortex Flow 0.73mm for me, or 0.88mm if i'm playing a skinny stringed thing.

Tremonti at Shepherds Bush Empire.
The band were excellent, top notch, and the sound was LOUD. The guitars and vocals (for me) were all good, the bass was it's usual mess for a hard rock band, and the drums struggled to be clear against the wall of guitar, but maybe it's where I was standing.
And ( maybe I'm just getting too old for this type of gig, or covid has reset my preferences) my god there were some people in there, never seen it so full, it was actually uncomfortable, even at the back where the main bar is. I did find a bit of space near a side bar eventually.I saw Tremonti in Manchester and it was the same problems. Loud even with my earplugs in, though the bass wasn't too bad. It was one of the most rammed gigs i have ever been to, and incredibly hot with it being mid 20's that day. They always put on a hell of a show though.

I would keep the second knobs (from the left) at 12 o clock. Then pick a sound to play with with the far right knob (the Farage as I call it). Now work through the Variations knob until you find something you might be able to work with. Then start playing with the tone / rate controls to explore all the possibilities of that sound (also mixing it with your clean tone).
Cheers for that. That's how i spent the first few hours just messing around. There's some mental noises comes from this thing.

I mostly use snapshots anyway so i'm not overly limited on switches luckily. The two controllers on the bottom do all of my switching so it's nice and easy.

I've had good luck with the Behringer BDI-21 sansamp clone, and the MXR M80. If you can scrape an extra few quid together it might be worth looking at a HX Stomp for a lot more versatility.

Could put a 1U rack drawer in just to keep odds and sods in. Spare strings, picks, etc.

Sorry to bring this thread up, thought it'll be better than starting a new one!
Ideally would like a PSU to sit under my nano also. At least 1 18V needed.
The Cioks still the way to go? I'm only powering 3 pedals and one is 18V and the cali76 also can be 18V if I wanted. Any recommendations ?
I think the Truetone CS6 can do 18v with one of their adapter cables.
Who did you see live last?

You Me At Six at Wembley Arena a few weeks ago for their final ever gig, which was incredible but also sad to see the end of them, followed immediately by a trip to Newcastle the morning after to watch War Of The Worlds with my dad.
