Stringray 4 H, white, stealth hardware, maple board (if EBMM would let me order that config), Helix Rack+control and a good wireless system.

Afternoon all,

I've purchased a pre-wired tele control plate and it seems to be wired in a different way to anything i've found online. Anyone any idea how this thing should be wired or is it easier just to start again with it?

It is quite good to see one of the rare signature models that isn't like this. Some go wild. The ESP Ben Weinman is one that springs to mind. Different pickups, Evertune bridge, option of an internal wireless system, and it might have even been a shape he created if my memory serves me correctly.

The other one being the PRS SE Zach Myers, because for a while you couldn't get a PRS hollowbody for under 2 grand other than that.

Not blocks but i put some stickers on the fretboard of my Ibanez atleast 10 years ago and they're still there, so probably quite well i should think.

I've got a PRS SE Custom 24 and I can't speak highly of it enough. I love the pickups, the finish, everything. I've never been a big fan of coil taps on humbuckers, but on this guitar they sound great. I am mostly a Strat player, I love single coils. The PRS doesn't sound like one, but it has a very nice single-coil kind of sound in addition to the fatter humbuckers. Ergonomically, it's miles better than any Les Paul style.

That colour is incredible. That's one thing PRS seem to do better than most these days.

Probably some sort of '72 thinline with a maple board. Depends what funds allow when i get around to sorting stuff out.

I've got a Cort X9. Super strat style shreddy machine with a Floyd Rose. I'm after a tele and hopefully a PRS SE Zach Myers when funds allow.

Dougie Poynter is one of only people i can think of who uses a Sterling. Pretty much all of his are in flake finishes with LED's.

16 Ever played a gig suffering from some debilitating medical condition? Yes. Food poisoning from an earlier burger. Got home and spent the next 4 hours sat next to the loo

18 Ever played in the grounds of a stately home? Nope

19 Ever injured yourself on stage? Yes. Sat on the edge of the stage, tried to jump up onto the stage from where i was, caught my ankles, fell backwards into a crash cymbal and smacked my head. Never dropped a note though.

20 Ever been told that your bass isn't loud enough? A few times.

I use them on everything. I once killed a set of ernie balls in 30 minutes and haven't used anything but Elixir since. I will admit they don't sound the best on electric guitar but after 7 or 8 years of only using them i can't stand the feel of anything uncoated. Tried a set of D'Addario EXL on my electric and they lasted as long as it took Amazon to deliver another set of Elixirs.

Something along the lines of this, possibly with a T-Bass headstock. Obnoxious sparkly neon pink. I'd also have a white version just in case the sparkly pink wasn't appropriate.

PMT in Salford seemed to have a fairly substantial range when i was in there last weekend. I think Symphony in Wigan also does.

The seemingly endless ordeal to get my 900s' that i bought repaired or replaced has finally ended with me getting all my money back. That's only taken four months. Remind me not to buy things on ebay again.

Had them on everything for years now. Tried a set of D'addario non coated on my electric recently and ordered some Elixirs two days later because they just sounded terrible.

Cable on my ACS has gone yet again and i can't be bothered replacing it again so looking for a replacement. Are the UE900s still the go to on the cheaper end?

Elixir Stainless on my P bass, nickels on my 5 string, and i've recently tried a set of D'Addario EXL115's on my electric and absolutely hate them. Will be putting another set of Elixirs on there very soon.

Battered and bruised from seeing Crossfaith last night. Went quite well considering i've never actually listened to them.

Bubbles - Yosi Horikawa. Such fun to listen to... Only really works on headphones though due to the binaural mics that were used to capture it all. Anyway, grab your IEMs (works better than headphones as it removes the influence of the pinna completely)

In fact, if you got Spotify, all of Yosi's stuff is worth a listen. The sub drops on Wandering are fun.

The Sound Traveler on youtube is also a very good place for stuff like this. I've been enjoying binaural stuff recently.

Where was your cable failing? The cable or the connector that goes inside the earpiece?

I quite like Bax cable for its thinness - although it does have a tendency to like to tangle itself a little!

Once at the earpiece, the other times at the connector. They seem to have no strain relief on the 3.5 end whatsoever so i've added about 30-40mm of heatshrink to my current cable and it's been a lot better for me.

The failure rate of ACS just seems far too high to be right doesn't it?

Only on the universals, but my left one died within four months of me getting them, and again a few months later. On my fourth bax cable as well.
