  1. I was taught that it's Tiny (E&B ) Average (G&D) Big (A&E) when i was first shown it in school. Would explain why some people see it as an acronym rather than shortened verson of Tablature.

*edited for failure to remember basic English.

I'm probably unusual in that while I'm still interested in guitars & basses I don't actually play them anymore.

I'm the same. My main bass has been out of operation for 4-6 weeks now and i haven't even bothered fixing it yet. Had a dabble on my acoustic guitar over the weekend, but i can go months at a time without touching them.

Men Imitating Machines next week. They are doing a tour and well worth watching.

I saw these at some point last year in Bolton. They were certainly an interesting band to watch whilst slightly drunk. They were both wearing superhero outfits too if memory serves me correctly.

  4. A prime example the opposite way is the ESP Ben Weinman signature. Flame top, See-Thru Black finish, Evertune bridge, all of which aren't available stock, and i believe they even did a run that had the facilities for built in wireless like he runs. That is how a sig should be done.

    Squints... PSM 300, LD1000...

    XSW, X32, Kemper.

    I like this game :-)

Pair of PSM300's, Trio of XSW wireless mics, X32 Rack, Kemper Rack, new defunct LD1000, Macbook pro, some patch pays and a Virgin Media Superhub. I think.

Tonyf - we need more rack porn IEM setups in this thread! :P

Does this count? Clearly not just in ears, but still, it looks good. Belongs to a couple of mates of mine, and is essentially their entire setup.

I started on guitar and still play it a bit, both plectrum and finger picking. On bass I use one or two fingers, occasionally a pick, and occasionally thumb and two fingers - for some reason I don't do thumb and three fingers like I do on guitar. There's no one right way, just be prepared to experiment with technique for each song.

He uses two most of the time, occasionally will use all 4 as one giant finger though. I mostly use two or a pick, though i would say it's worth being able to play with three, just because triplets are easier and it can help in faster sections, but it isn't an essential.
