  1. Excellent news. Wasn't sure you would stay with Ashdown. I guess all amp manufacturers get failed amps thru their lifetime. Good news tho. Dave
  2. Looking forward to seeing the end result on this one. Dave
  3. Yes i agree it doesn't make much sense. I have a gig end of this month with the punk band in a hotel starts around 8:30 till 11 ish and usually when we arrive they are still serving food from the afternoon. Once we start to set up some people start to leave and once the punk music starts we rely on dedicated fans of punk to maintain the audience. Oddly enough we have a few people travel approx 4hrs drive to see us and they stay overnight then head home in the morning. Dave
  4. What do you think of the Sire ? They seem to get great reviews plus a mate has one now and he loves it. Dave
  5. Cracking wee Tech 21 VT bass amp for sale on BC at £325 that looks nice. Think it just appeared this morning. What's the bass you are using ? A Sire maybe ? Dave
  6. I've driven past it on main road from Inverness to Fraserburgh to see the lighthouse on holiday at time. I really need to visit some of those smaller villages / Towns along that coast. Dave
  7. Its not easy motivating yourself to play when the audience just isn't there. You can look at it as a paid rehearsal which is what we do. Its a difficult one tho if it has a 2hr drive each way. Where was the venue ? Dave
  8. Love playing SLF songs with the punk band. Some great basslines. We currently do At The Edge and Alternative Ulster and looking to add Gotta Getaway and Nobody's Hero. All songs i'd never heard before joining the punk covers band. I was never into punk back in its hey day but recognise most of the songs we do. Amazing how good some of the songs are and how much i really enjoy playing them. Some of those basslines thrown together one after the other can be quite a challenge for a fingerstyle player like myself but all good fun. Dave
  9. The secret is to get there early before another band gets there LOL Bad news but it happens. Dave
  10. That's not good or very nice. 2 things :- Why was it cancelled ? Why weren't you told earlier ? Dave
  11. And mine are indifferent much like my audiences.
  12. I can understand it Our 3 cats are never phased either way when i satrt playing and wander in and out of the bass cave if i leave the door open.
  13. The cat is more important than a sale and its a perfect fit at the end of the kitchen units. Def a keeper.........the cat says so. Dave
  14. I tried that and the page was blank but found it elsewhere. Keep it.............go on, go on, go on, go on ....you know ya wanna. Dave
  15. What size and weight is it Stevie ? Dave Found it :- approx 26"H x 23" W x 16" D and approx 60lbs weight (approx 28Kg) Nice easy lift and not too big for a 410 cab.
  16. Hold your pint .................... i'll have it drunk before you turn the corner at the end of your road. These cabs got really good reviews from The Bass Whisperer and we all know he is God in disguise. Dave
  17. Have to agree here. Its not worth giving away at that price Stevie.
  18. I just don't know how you can remember all those songs. ? Dave
  19. At that price i'm stunned its not been snapped up. I even considered buying it myself Stevie just because its so cheap and a brilliant sounding cab. Dave
  20. Sounding good there, plus you have dancers, that's always a bonus. 👍 Dave
  21. The link to FB doesn't work. No content unless its on someone's private feed. Dave
  22. Your close up was taken from FOH ? ......... He's good. You need to work him more, he's new so wont know any better what his full job description is yet. Maybe some vids too from FOH as the sound quality at the desk is usually the best place for it. Dave
  23. Some great pics there Pete. Dave
  24. Great pics Dave
