Anyone tried the Dirty Donny edition of the Swollen Pickle?

It loses one of the internal controls but has the remaining internal controls now on the outside, plus the pedal is smaller. Anyone know what that missing control is and if it makes a difference to bass use?

From the looks of it it's this
Voice sets the intensity of the external scoop control from light to heavy mid cut

+1 to the endorsement of the lovely Matt.
He sold me my TC Electronics combo. He was very helpful and happy to answer 'stupid' questions in a non-patronising way.

He sold a good friend of mine a tc combo as well and remembered us both when we popped in to have a look around.

  3. If you're in Brum you can't go wrong with just popping into PMT or Guitar guitar and just having a quick play with several different basses.
If you go to PMT ask for Matt, he sold me my Schecter and he's really knowledgeable in all aspects of bass (he might be able to point you in the direction of a good tutor as well)

  4. My band have a shared lock up and we try and practice at least once a week for as many hours as we can (usually 3). Most of it is spent just running thru our current set of songs and then we'll either jam and hopefully start a new song or we'll work on something that we've yet to finish.

  5. Sorry if this has been asked a million times already.
I have recently purchased a Way Huge Swollen Pickle and it kicks out some Brutal low end. I am finding that I have to cut the bass and low mids when using it but when I turn it off my bass sounds a bit thin.
Would getting an eq pedal which I would switch on to suit my needs be a good idea?
I'm not really looking at spending a great deal of money
