  1. Pretty sure the one I had was 4 ohms. Great cab, you really wouldn’t need to run it with another one. 😄
  2. Just seven numbers (can straighten out my life) - The Four Tops
  3. Beechwood 4-5789 - The Marvelettes
  4. Great band. Once heard that the song was not about an unfaithful relationship but apparently written about the bassist moonlighting with another band who were trying to get him to leave Ace. Don’t know how true this is mind.
  5. Twenty flight rock - Eddie Cochran
  6. I can’t stand this too. Along with those people who can’t restring it properly, and winding too much string on the post so it overlaps. Can’t stand basses being propped up against an amp or a chair either, especially onstage! Get a stand for crying out loud. Also straps that are not adjusted properly (or just too long )leaving a section extending past the strap buttons. 🤨
  7. Coney Island Baby - Lou Reed
  8. Black night - Deep Purple
  9. He did, but it was earlier than that in 1981. He left Squeeze in 1982 and by the late 80’s was involved with Mike and the Mechanics. Think he rejoined Squeeze briefly in the early 90’s too. 😊
  10. Down under - Men at Work
  11. Half the world away - Oasis
  12. Halfway to paradise - Billy Fury
  13. I remember watching this concert on TV. I think it was Phil Collins and Midge Ure who put together a band to back quite a few of the singers who performed as well as Paul Carrack - Tony Hadley, Paul Young etc.
  14. Summer the first time - Bobby Goldsboro
  15. Bows and arrows - Kaiser Chiefs
  16. Mercury poisoning - Graham Parker
  17. Star - Kiki Dee
  18. Satellite of Love - Lou Reed
  19. Telstar - The Tornados
  20. Drops of Jupiter - Train
  21. Ha ha, exactly what I thought. The guy was a brickie by trade so not averse to carrying stuff I guess. He did comment on the 6x10 as being a bit of a handful though as he shoehorned it into his BMW 1 series hatchback! He probably has a good 30 years on me so hope he enjoys it for a while. Will probably go and see his band when/if things improve.
  22. Well, sold my Fender rig yesterday at a knock down price. The young chap who bought it ( not from BC unfortunately)was delighted though, and I honestly don’t think he knows what it’s capable of. He s in a rock band where the guitarist is currently lending him an old 150 watt combo, and say he can’t wait to get to whenever their next gig or rehearsal is to show them that he means business. He managed to get it in his car too! Nice fella, made parting with it a little bit easier.
  23. Is you is, or is you ain’t my baby - Louis Jordan
  24. Scary monsters ( and super creeps ) - David Bowie
  25. We are family - Sister Sledge
