can i use fretboard oil on the tops of acoustic guitars? mine has a little strumming rash?

Sorry to all you lovely db'ers but I meant acoustic guitar. I am playing a martin dc1xe with a Fishman pre in the guitar. Do cheap di's do the same as more expensive ones? At the minute I can't afford to buy a Phil Jones acoustic amp, which has a simple bass mid and treble control. But until then would a di be as good a purchase or buy a pre with the capability of a di, what are my options for those?

That GK rig would be nicer than any harley benton stuff in my opinion.

though you would be best buying secondhand imo as you can get some nice stuff for the money you are willing to spend!

This is great stuff! I love hearing others opinions on gear they've used. I can empathise with gaf over wanting to support a local-ish fella trying to make it. Someday I may get a super12 just to see, cause the midget was nice. I was comparing them with my mesa scout and even though I got the impression that the compact could handle more wattage the mesa just sounded nicer (fuller)

I know that it is a youtube video and therefore doesn't capture all the subtleties but nevertheless I think it gives a good broad indication as to how the cabs sound, Personally I found the DB to be 'muffled' not enough clarity. The DNA sounded lifeless, and the berg was the best out of the three. I tried to do a blind test as best I could to pick out my favourite to start.

This is my opinion of course.

I run my eq pretty flat on the walkabout and only make small adjustment when required.

Personally I would love to try the vanderkley and bergs as I have played through the barefaced compact and midget and they were okay (midget being my favourite by far) but I preferred the sound to my scout extension cab. I have never put the aggie's in the same league as the aforementioned cabs, should I?

I'm very intrigued by gafbass02, what were the tonal differences between the three?

With all the barefaced love that we get on these pages I was wondering if anyone had tried them along with other high end cabs, bergs, vanderkley etc? In all your playing days what cabs really stand out?

Frank was kind enough to let me try his barefaced cabs against my mesa scout extension They were lovely sounding cabs and I much prefered the midget over the compact, don't know why though. I was mainly disappointed with the finish, they looked cheap (I know they are not) But I would like to see a wee bit more effort going into the finish. If you look at the mesa cab and say the Baer ML cab they are a wee bit nicer in my opinion of course.

But I came on here to ask what cab was at the end on the picture that barefaced updated facebook with?

I have a DHA VT-1 pedal for sale, I haven't used it much since I bought it off Monckyman here. Everyone I'm sure is aware of this pedal and how great it is, just not for me. Built like a tank and comes with a 12v power supply.

I hope he doesn't mind me using his picture's... It literally hasn't changed
