1. Fender rumble 350 is a great amp head, I love it and I've tried them all.
2. the fender rumble 350 is a great amp at a fantastic price, had mine now for about 1 year never let me down, very loud and great tone.
3. Hi Guys, could anybody tell me what size vent (lenght, circular as I have some 4 inch piping available) would I need for a bass cab with 3.394 cu feet internal vol. I have a emminence legend cb 15 (15 inch speaker , 300watt) I use a 5 string bass and would like a punchy sound without too much boom. Would be gratefull of any help please
4. I have just purchased a lightweight Fender Rumble 350 head and I'm absolutely delighted with it. It's very competitively priced , loud and Superb tone. I also own a little Mark bass head which I'm now selling. The Fender was for a back up , but its so good I'm now using it as my main amp. Just check it out.
5. For small gigs, like pub gigs, go for a combo of say 150 watts, also go for a 15 inch speaker combo as 10 inch speakers always sound middly to my ears and lack real depth. If you check out the frequency reponse of 10 inch speakers they dont go anywhere near low enough IMHO.
6. Hi, Stick with 15 inch speakers or even multiples of 12 inch speakers , 10 inch are far too middly and dont really have that real depth that 15's do. I can honestly say that I have tried them all and found 10 inch speaker far too middy and toppy, we are after all BASS players.
7. Very funny, me and the misses couldnt stop laughing at your comments. great looking cab though. Larrybassman
8.
North Americans please note: Fag = Cigarette. Now read on. OK plywood fans, this is my first cab build. I've done a little joinery previously some while back, in a reasonably well-equipped workshop. The cold reality of my crappy (and broken) workmate-thing, cheap saws and pitiful collection of toy clamps and tools is not really filling me with confidence. Just getting my excuses in early, you understand... Made a Circular Saw Sled -- it's the law. I notice my baggy T-shirt is getting sucked into the circular saw air intake, like a hoover. Tea and a fag. Decide to change shirt. I note the workmate-thing is too low for me (backache) and more disconcertingly, means using lethal power tools at knob-level... Note how I cleverly cut Top and Bottom Panels at the same time, thus ensuring both panels are precisely the wrong size! Decide to ignore this early setback and deal with it later. No doubt you are already snorting into your PG Tips with mirth. Marking out the Baffle/Phase Plug. Make compasses from (mrs discreet's) measuring spoon -- with a screw in it. I'll get a slap on the wrist for this. After quite a lot of swearing, I got the Baffle/Phase Plug cut. Yes, I need more practice with the jigsaw. Should have got my eight-year-old to do it instead. Thrilling, eh? Don't miss the next exciting instalment, adrenaline junkies -- I'm going to get the glue out.
