1. awww cool ... love games is a great groove!
2. yeah i just love the earlier level 42 stuff, which obviously is due to the original lineup of mark king, mike lindup, boon and phil gould and wally bararou in the studio not just mr king!
3. enjoy dude
4. listen to anything by level 42, but the first few albums are good self titled album the early tapes pursuit of accidents standing in the light true colours also check out mark kings first album influences, especially the 19 minute 'the essential' some phenomenal bass playing on there, he plays all instruments too absolutely love the guy though, my biggest musical hero, mainly for being bought up with level 42 by my old man, being dragged to a few mark king gigs, its made me realise how good he is as a musician and what a lovely person too, got a couple of my basses signed by him and he even played 'dune tune' on my jaydee a few years ago
5. After not listening to level 42 for a while and going in a different direction. think: the smiths, jam, specials, police blah blah... I put on the world machine album today and just remembered how great Mark King is as a Bass player, the way he sings and plays is phenomenal, has a great presence on stage and is such a down to earth guy whenever i meet him, not to mention that his bass sounds are amazing... of course this is only my opinion and im sure he has a lot of haters as well as fans, but just thought id share my liking for this mans abilities and how he has influenced me more than anyone as a bass player and a music fan.
6. ive always thought that once people have passed away then they are put on a higher level... just my input though, still think jaco was great and would to be able to play even slightly like him
7. hey guys, had this precision bass for around two weeks and its absolutely great but still wanting a warwick so badly... so here it is my nate mendel fender precision bass in new condition, bearing in mind its roadworn haha would like to swap for a nice warwick but may consider others... just try me trade value of the nearest to £650 as i paid nearly 700 a few weeks ago. Now £535 trades for musicman stingray heres some pictures
8. I've got the nate Mendel fender precision and it's great!
9. I've played loads of precisions, I.e squier, us fender etc... And this one really stood out, also the idea of having a brand new bass that looks slightly distressed seemed cool Plays excellently, lovely neck, build quality is great, love the colour and the headstock with 70's logo and tuners, just a great looking and playing instrument Recommend one to anyone!

12.
Thanks John. I did see the link, didnt excite me much, didnt look right all new, and the neck with the headstock adjustment spoiled it for me, but a nice cheapish bass for someone. The slab project: Errr, well, err, no, not yet, in my defence, I have been busy, finally sorting out my 'Space for Bass'. I've been organising, decorating and hanging my basses. It's all done now though, so soldering the 'slab' is the next job, I'm itching to get it stoked up too, here's some pics of my progress this xmas holiday; '52, '56, '58, '60, '66 P's. Matched pair of 1st series JV basses, '58 Mandocaster, '59 4x10 Bassman, '52 TV Bassman (Tweed clock ); Ricky 4005, Ricky-a-like-mani-a-like-copy-thingy, Takamine on stand, and '51 CS in tweed rack. There's a couple missing, but I'll find somewhere to put 'em.
