Congrats on the bass Lozz.
Was it the Natural one that was on here? -
I have a BG 500, mines the combo, (but basically it's the same head I think) It's now used as my back-up/practice amp, it's been pretty solid for over 2 years now and never let me down.
I'm not sure if it's just the BG versions but the one I have when using post DI- out I do seem to get some very slight distortion on it, but other than that it's a fairly sound amp with lots of features. -
I'd also suggest that you must have a faulty unit .. if it's newish I'd return it under warranty,
Good luck, it's a great little amp and it should be doing clean and loud! -

Hello Highfox,
Thanks for the reply, as per the question, do you have specific control settings for the shuttle?
thanks Pete
With a p bass Just setting it all flat with the gains at 12, should get you close.. -
The shuttle 6.0 does do loud and clean imo especially at 4ohms . (Never had a Hartke so can't compare) Stl 6.0 can be a little low/thin on bass, but hit the LF switch and your sorted.
Never found it to under power running 2x12 at 4 Ohms. -

Most of my memories of him were playing a hollow-body (Epiphone?) around the 'Invaders of the Heart' time
Going back to the Human Condition and the earlier Invaders, every time I saw him live it was a Pbass. I think that Ovation started seeing the light of day around 1992, -

Anyone know what become of the Ampeg bass Wobble used when PiL played on the OGWT?
I heard it was nicked out of a taxi and then rumored to be the bass that the guy out of Aswad used for a while. Not sure how true that really is! -

Oh, no! Have I made myself look uncool on the internet!?
Well, It's about time he got a new one!
Lol, your forgiven billyapple, at least you made it to the gig. I'd of been there as well if I lived a bit closer.
I have been checking out some vids of them live on youtube and they both seem to still gel together pretty well. -

He was playing an Ovation Magnum

He's been using that bass for near on 20 years -

Half Finnish (Mum from Turku) - that count?
Certainly does, that's where I'm based -
Great!
I checked out your youtube vids and you guys certainly do Rock and Roll.
Interesting bass, is it a Status? -
I'd love to be able to make this! I'm in the UK in June, hope they have more shows then.
Going to be some serious low end and crunchy jangly guitar. Any idea who's on drums? -

God knows where it is. It was nicked.
Really?
Didn't know that, thought he still had his 61 and 63 models. -

I would think that the Damien Hirst connection would very likely make this one of the most valuable basses in the world...
All this talk of valuable basses .. makes me wonder what Macca's original Hofner would fetch -
Thanks Alan, I have already been here a while (enough time to have spent a small fortune on GAS) I was just trying to coax some Finns out from hiding.

I've got a 100% original one, in about as mint condition as one could hope to get. Some rust on the screws, and some light fret wear. Not got the case. I reckon in today's climate i'd ask for ~£1000, for a quick sale, realistically.
I paid around that not too long ago for a well used one.. then again I think that the bumps and bruises it has give it a bit more character. -
That's nice!
I manage to get away with the neoX 212 but if I needed more I'd certainly like to check one of them out. -
Just wondering if we have any active Finnish members out there?
It would be interesting to find out.
I'm not Finnish myself but have been living here some 17 or so years now.
Sokka irti -

Hi.
Ditch the Renault -
Thanks Doc. Shows I know nothing about Rickenbackers, never noticed that model before.
-
Just out of interest I thought I'd ask if anyone knows if this is a real Rick and if so what model? Not looking to make trouble just interested.

Someone on a Finnish forum is looking to try swap it for a 4004! -
Sad. Another one gone before their time
I got to meet them in 87, I remember that made my day. Creative guys that were well beyond all the hype and crap of the day. -
Edit. Sorry for the double post.
Think he lived a turbulant life, but will always be remembered as a Pioneer for Jamaican Ska and will live on in his music.

Ok guys, here's the answer:
Part 1: Fender '00 Made in Mexico P-Bass
Part 2: Fender '71 P-Bass
Part 3: Fender '58 P-Bass
OK, I guessed them all wrong.
If they had all had Maple necks I would of got it right lol.
Nice playing, they all sound great, think I liked the 58 best.

I put some SD Antiquity 2's in my P and love the sound it's given it. Vintage vibe with lots of woody tone
Edit. I was going to record a sound clip of them, but then thought my terrible playing might put you off
