1. Hi there Selling my Digitech Turbo Flange. I just don't use it, so it may as well be moved on. It's a bit 'aesthetically challenged', but it works perfectly. £25 including postage Cheers John https://www.dropbox.com/s/fj3egdg0ahnh53i/2014-05-05%2017.01.54.jpg
2. Hi there I'm selling my Harley Benton Super Octave pedal. A really good pedal, but there really is no point in keeping this when I now have a OC-2 on my board. This is more like a clone of the OC-3 though, with the overdrive mode. £20 including postage. Cheers John ****SOLD****
3. Hi there For sale is my trusty old warhorse. A 2003 Epiphone Thunderbird. Korean model (not Chinese) I've owned this from new and it has always done a splendid job! Only issue I had was when the strap pin on the neck end fell out, so I drilled a new hole about an inch nearer the neck. I do have the strap pin somewhere and I will ensure that it is provided with the bass. Also comes with a hard case. The bass is in Barnsley. Couriers are welcomed at buyers cost. Collection is, however, prefered. Thanks for looking John
4. Bought a pedaltrain 2 off of Kev. It arrived when he said it would, and was well packaged. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again!
5. Just bought an MXR Fuzz pedal from Paul. One of the easiest transactions of my life! Great comms and a pleasure to deal with! Cheers pal
6. Hello basschatters. For sale is my Hartke rig. I've bought this new in 2004 and it has served me very, very well. A recent amp change now means this is surplus to my requirements. The head delivers 500 watts at 4ohms and 330 watts at 8ohms. It has a tube preamp (a single 12AX7) and a solid state preamp with the option to blend. Also features a fantastic compressor (IMO) and a 10-band switchable EQ. The cab is a beastly 2x15 (500 watts, 4ohm) which has had one of the speakers replaced with one of these: http://www.eminence....model=Gamma_15A The speaker was replaced in 2006 and the head was also serviced at the same time. I have no covers/flightcases for this so pickup is preferred from Barnsley. Any questions/queries, please get in touch. I would prefer not to split. £400 for the lot. Cheers JP
7.
I still have mine around, beasty things best of the oldschool IMHO all i'd say is don't be afraid to play with the EQ (i'm always tweaking..), i know both myself and the previous owner had some slightly more severe settings than on my other amps what are those cabs you're using with it?
The cabs are model '1937' 2x12 bass cabs with the original Celestion G12-65 speakers. They sound magical!!! I made sure I got to rehearsal early so I could have a good play with the EQ before everyone else showed up. Within about an hour, I'd found 'my' sound. It took me about 6 months with my Hartke!! Simple is best.
8.
Nice amp. I had one. It was (had gone) brown too. I seem to remember getting some joy out of the slope control. Tis a beastie. Though got a little heavy for me!
That slope control has the ability to flatten cities!!! I thought it would be ridiculously heavy, so I'm pleasantly surprised at the weight. But then again, I haven't had to carry it anywhere yet!
9. It sounds fine at the minute, but for my own peace of mind, I'm going to get it serviced next month. Possibly a re-valve too. Also, I paid £580 for this. Good deal?
10. I had my first rehearsal last night with my new rig. I was just blown away by the power and warmth of this thing. It seemed a perfect match with my Tbird!! Even the rest of the band seemed happy. Has anyone else owned one of these hellbeasts? Any secrets/tips would be much appreciated! It's also my first valve amp, and my bass playing life has been changed forever. No more solid-state nonsense for me ever again.
11. Bump for extra pedal added, and price drop!
12.
Would you be interested in a Selmer Treble n Bass 50 (just been serviced before being put up for sale, I'm picking it up tomorrow) ? It's the version with the brushed aluminium front. edit: with some cash your way too
Unfortunately, I have my heart set on something else, so would prefer a straight cash sale. Cheers though. JP P.S. Pay-day bumpage!!!
13.
Ah well that clears up the confusion I felt about the early posts talking about a 'bargain'!
That'll teach me for trying to justify myself while very, very drunk! I was advised that this bass was worth £500, which still makes this bargain-esque I reckon. I really want a new amp, so would consider trades for a Orange Bass Terror, or something valvey (or is that tubey?) and vintage.
14. Rocktron is now sold pending payment etc!
15. Hello! Yes, I have changed the price of this bass after receiving advice stating that my original price was far too low. I don't want to offend anyone, but I don't want to sell myself short either. I hope this is understandable. I hope the price is still competitive. JP
16.
MB1. Think you'll find thats "Tastefully Relic'd"
I was tempted to list it as 'road worn'!! But alas, common sense prevailed.
17. Hi there For sale here is a Fender Japan Jazz Bass. I think it's a 96 because it's got a '50th Anniversary' sticker on the back of the headstock. I'd love to say this is in superb condition, but it just isn't. Electrically, it's fine, and playability is fine. But the body has A LOT of dings/chips. I have tried my best to show these in the pics, but in any event, this is offered as collection only, as I want any potential buyer to fully inspect the bass and be happy with what they are getting. If you insist on delivery, a courier can be arranged at your expense. The bass is located in Barnsley. The bass comes with a hard case made by '5 star cases' which is also tatty. I sell this with a slightly heavy heart, as it was my first bass. But, alas, I just don't use this anymore as I much prefer the sound of Thunderbirds. Any questions/requests for more photos, get in touch!! £350 NOW SOLD
18. Hi there First up is the Rocktron Heart Attack envelope filter. I bought this 'cos I wanted to try a filter pedal, and have come to the conclusion that I don't need one. So here it is. £15 inc postage ****SOLD**** Next up is the Zoom BFX-708 multi fx. I'd actually forgotten I had this! Don't need this anymore. £20 inc postage. ****SOLD**** Up for sale next is a Digitech Bass Driver. I won this off the 'bay a few weeks back. I was kind of hoping I wouldn't win it, as I'd just ordered an SFX Bad Monkey (which is awesome!!). This is still a quality pedal though. Does everything from a medium-gain OD, to a pretty good fuzz IMO. Just turn the 'morph' knob to taste! Also has a blend knob, which is always a good feature I think. I would like what I paid, which was £30 inc postage. Last up is the now discontinued (?) ProCo Juggernaut Bass Rat. Again, I don't really need this anymore. I have 3 distortion boxes on my board, 4 is overkill! It doesn't have a battery cover on it, as I had to remove that and the feet to fit it on my old board. Due to being young and stupid (at the time!!), I have lost these parts! I have replaced the feet. Comes with an Electro-Harmonix adapter, because it needs one of those silly 'mini-jack' types. £75 inc postage. Unfortunately, none of these pedals have the original packaging/instructions etc, but you rest assured that these will be VERY securely packaged. Ta for looking.
