  2. after having to stop playing myself because of surgery thats great news well done
  3. out of 6 six learn/write bass parts for i have got 2 down 100% even wthout looking at the tabs i have written give me a little glimmer of confidence
  4. its all originals.he has recorded bass on the demos but has said for me to come up with my own stuff (he must be mad)

  6. hi guys have just started playing again after a year off through hand injury and have just started a project with a guy. he has wrote all the music and has sent me the songs to learn and wants me to record my parts as soon as possible. i was just wondering how long it takes you guys to learn a song from scratches wth no tabs,chords or whatever thanks jamie
  7. if their rough to rub your finger along their most prob roundwounds if their smooth they are most prob flatwounds theres tons of string companys id say either ernie ball or d'adarrio is a good place to start

  10. i have been playing for a few years on off but have just started playing after having an operation on my picking hand. i have always struggled maybe it is im pushing down to hard i play a lot of rock and metal and some time i really do dig in.maybe i should start watching john myung more closely that guy is so smooth makes me look like lemmys demented love child
  11. hi guys got my ibanez sr300 purely for the fact is has a small neck 38ml at the nut as i have real small fingers im still struggling quite a bit with my small fingers ie if im running down scales and go from the 1st fret a string to 4th e string ect anyone got any ideas to make things easier ie excercises or should i start doing yoga stretches on my fingers thanks jamie

  13. thanks for the realies guys was hoping to not have to have 2 basses got a sort of rush type project which is in standard tuning and a death metal project on the horizon which is tuned to be might have to give my flexible friend a hamerring .ahem.

  15. hi guys in know this subject how been done on here but i think this is adifferent slant i recently bought a new ibanez sr300 the i have adjusted the action saddles only and is now perfect in standard tuning.the problem is when i tune down to c or b i get fret buzz n the first few and last few frets.obvuosly i dont want to adjust the saddles everytime i tune down or the truss rod please help thanks in advance jamie
