Saturday night I played at The Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham, which was my final gig with

The ELO Experience. Another grand old venue which first opened in 1901, capacity just under 1400

with two large balconies , the upper one being very high and steep.

The gig went well, a good onstage sound despite a change of rig as I’ve sold my usual one!
Used my GK800RB again, this time with my old standby cab - a Loud Inc 4x10. Really enjoyed

using it, and pleased it was enough for such a big venue/stage.

It was a near sell out gig which made it great for my last one, as well as being my 800th appearance

with the band. I first played with them as a dep at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in May 2009, and then

joined permanently in 2011 - first gigs were a short tour of Northern Ireland which were very memorable.

I couldn’t have found a better bunch of people to work with, starting out as a 5 piece & then adding 2

cellists and a violinist.  It’s been an absolute pleasure throughout, and I really will miss the band and

crew (pictured below) who have become like family. I’ll still be playing with the acoustic duo though,

as well as any deps that may come my way so will hopefully be gigging more locally for many years

    to come.

Well done Pete! I've so enjoyed reading your tour venue diaries on here and I've been living my dream vicariously through you. ;)

Congrats on a fantastic run of years/shows and all the best for the future mate :)

Used my GK800RB into the Neo 410 cabinet - last time with this cab for me as I sold it after the gig!
It’s been a great cab, never missed a beat. (For my final gig with the band this Saturday I’ll be using

    my trusty Loud 4x10.)

    800RB?! Niiiiiiiiiice......!

Effectively it became so iconic, it became almost a joke song that everyone used to shout when any band was going to do an encore, regardless of who they were. For years you would hear it yelled at any gig.

I have still heard it yelled recently so I am sure somethings never go away.

Yep, the three classics now are:

    "Freebird!"
    "Play something you know....!"
    "Alexa! Next!"

......at least at my gigs..... ;)🤣

I played through a Rumble 2x10 combo a few times at a jam on Queen Street here in Toronto. I was very pleased how it handled everything that my six string threw at it. It was the first Fender amp I actually liked! :)

That's because it's based on Genz Benz schematics... ;)

  5. Wanted the Eric Carr (KISS) 2 coloured vinyl/poster set.
Couldn't be arsed to hunt/queue at a record store for it.
Went on ebay yesterday and got it from a record store for the same price.
    Job done. ;)😎

I see Bass Direct are now stocking HAZ clone preamps, as onboard or pedal option. Might be tempted. The preamp in my NS2000 is fudged, so an option is to put the HAZ clone in my Euro LX and then put the tonepump from that bass into my NS2000.

Yep, I linked Bass Direct up with Lonnie West (LHZ) and persuaded Mark to bring some of his preamps (& pedal version) for the UK market. Bought 3 for myself too!

  7. Grab a Pulse II.... it has a gorgeous neck, great build quality, active EMGs and looks to die for. The 'Tonepump Jr' preamp is fine but you can get a richer tone by then upgrading to the full 'Tonepump' or a Haz copy LHZ03 Preamp.

I own everything from custom US Spectors to almost entry-level ones and the Pulse II is imho the best value for money Spector you can buy...
