Oh aye, she's observant too - some may know that I recently took in a second Thunderbird (different model though) and she was like "don't you have one like that already?"  I started to explain the differences, her eyes glazed over and that was the end of that conversation :D

You can imagine that same conversation in my house every time a new Spector arrives! 🤣

I've built up my 'goodwill' though by selling my Wal 18 months ago and using the proceeds to pay for an amazing 2 week all expenses paid trip to USA for My Wife, Son & I (Vegas, Grand Canyon, Mustang Convertible drive to San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Monterrey via Yosemite etc) last year ;)

Did a quick text round of the lads and the guitarist was oggling Olivia Rodrigo prancing around in her basque rather than watching the rawking on the Other Stage.

    I don't recall getting your text...and I'm not a guitarist....
    Oh, hold on... ;)

  4. Here we have a fantastic Glockenlang preamp, comprising Volume, Treble and Bass controls.

Pull passive tone circuit activated from Push/Pull vol control.

This was removed by my tech from another bass I got in a trade. If you use a twin pickup bass you will just need to obtain a suitable balance pot.

    The details:

    GLOCKENKLANG 2-band onboard preamp
Active/passive switchable (at the volume push/pull)
Treble-pot with +/- 18 dB@18 KHz in active mode, acting as classical high cut in passive mode
    Bass-pot with +/- 14 dB@40 Hz.
    Input-impedance (without Balance): 1,5 MOhm
Frequency range: 20 Hz -20 KHz
    Power requirement: 9 volts/1,3 mA
Min. installation depth: 28 mm (1.1″)

Due to the high performance electronics, in flat position of the eq you can hear no difference between active and passive mode!

SOLD inc postage. Paypal (you pay fees) or bank transfer both fine.

Please see my extensive positive feedback thread for assurance of a simple, honest transaction.

Does it help you with on stage monitoring? You know when you're close to a rig and it's kiling the people in the front 5-6 meters away but you can't hear it, does it overcome this issue? I'm starting to lose the plot with my current rig even when it's elevated.

I've never needed it to be that loud as the dispersion is excellent. I have literally walked over to the guitarist (on the OTHER side of my drummer) and heard myself almost as loud and clearly as standing in front of my rig.

  6. Unless these people are working 12 hour shifts/7 days a week they have little excuse for not having time to practice.
I have a full time job, a young family, a critically ill Mother and doddery Father....and still manage to find time to practice for a new theatre show, a theatre show dep, a local covers band and other occasional deps/wedding gigs.

Not meaning to sound like a martyr, but if you are serious about your music you FIND the time... for practice, rehearsing and gigging!
