1. Funny you should mention that. I have just had an enquiry for the head from a land far far away. Can you PM me the details, price and pics please.
 2.
Is your dog included I'd be tempted if it is ;+). Lovely looking amp GLWTS.
Sorry, Muttley is not included in the sale, although he would probably go with you anyway if you offered him enough Dentastix.
 3. I'm sure this situation is not new to many of you, but I made a deal with myself a while back that I wasn't going to buy any more gear until I had actually sold some of the stuff I'm not actually making use of. I'm trying to get out of the cycle of "Ooh, I've seen "X", better buy "X" now before it disappears. I can justify buying "X" by selling "Y" later to cover it". Sound familiar? Anyhoo - This is my Trace Elliot V8 head and it is in great condition. This picture was taken today having collected it from the guys at Electronic Music Services in Southend where it had a full service. Their service tag is still attached to the top handle. I mentioned to them that the service was for the purpose of selling it and they said they were happy to stand by their service as a mark of it being in tip top condition. The head has been gigged a couple of times some years back, but since then it hasn't been out at all. The valves were replaced a while back, but have had very little use since so there is plenty of life left in them. It comes complete with it's power lead, user guide (photocopy only I'm afraid), TE footswitch unit and two lime green TE three pin leads for speaker connection. It doesn't come with a flight case/cover. Flight cases can be sourced for around £150-£200. For those with a dodgy back, please beware, this amp is heavy! It comes in at 28.4 kilos (four and half stone). Due to the weight/fragility I really don't want to ship this. You are very welcome to collect it from me in South Essex or I would be willing to deliver it or meet you somewhere in between, depending on the distances involved. No trades thank you. Payment by bank transfer or cash on collection.
 4. Just before Madness ensued....
 5.
Sounded good to me! Looks like it was an enjoyable gig.
There was a very good on stage sound which was extremely helpful bearing in mind I had only rehearsed once with them. You can't see from this camera, but I was smiling all the way. It's just such fun to play.
Looks like it was a good crack. I wouldv`e watched the whole gig if it was all recorded
I'm going to try and find if the source has any other songs recorded. It do have a pre-gig photo as well. I'll try and get that uploaded.
 6. Thanks for all your comments. Here's a clip from the show. Not perfect, but with only a few weeks notice and one rehearsal, that's as good as I get! http://youtu.be/3rMf_ZRzLbU
 7.
Great set list, played a lot of them tracks too, love Nightboat to Cairo...but what no Ghost town
Yes, good call. Not really my place to shout about which songs to do as I'm only depping, but I will mention it to the guys. They have just added Night Club though, but that was only on Tuesday so a bit late in the day for me. I was quite hoping I might be able to persuade them to do Time For Action (Secret Affair) but that hasn't happened yet either.
 8.
I'd love to play that but a set list would take me a month of Sundays to learn unfortunately and I can't transcribe so unless I could find the bass score I'd be stuffed :-(
The set does seem quite daunting on the face of it, but there are songs like The Prince which is a three note shape in the three positions of a blues scale and take no effort to learn. There are others. Tom Hark - basically another three note shape in two positions. A Message To You Rudy - a single five note shape. Stand By Me - five notes again etc etc. Admittedly the harder ones like Poison Ivy do tip the scales back the other way a bit, but that's the fun of it for me. Can't wait.
 9.
Thats a nice setlist. Wouldn`t mind being there myself
Yes, it's a tidy little set. The Madness songs are just genius. Other highlights are Poison Ivy, Geno and suprisingly Special Brew.
 10. I'm going to be depping for a friend next weekend in his Ska band. It's not exactly my comfort zone in terms of musical genre, but I've had a tremendous amount of fun learning the set over the last week or so. I'm aware I seem to be the person who can't bring himself to say no to a gig. I swore after learning two hours of 80's classics late last year I would never put myself in that position again, but here we are. A few notes for each song and the setlist on the front. My little book of Ska. I'm really looking forward to the mid-week rehearsal now I've cracked it and the gig should be a hoot! Now I just have to find myself some Ska uniform.
