  1. As promised, here is one of the tracks from my tape transfer. I've listened back to it a couple of times and it's cringeworthy for several reasons, but I was only a teenager when we wrote this stuff, so it is what it is.

I'm going to have a go at re-recording this one with a few of my current band members and see what we can do with it.

I've found that because there is no longer the facility to actually show the code you are producing when using the post text entry field, things can get very complicated if you are trying to correct a mistake or edit something that already has code attributes attached to it. Often I have found it is simpler to delete everything and start again from scratch.

Yep, I'd go with that 👍

Thats worked - how did you do it H ?

I just put the cursor next to my feedback, hit the space bar and then typed “Current Jazz Build”, then applied the link.

I think the issue you’re having is that you are trying to deal with text that already has hyperlinks, so it thinks it’s all the same thing, hence the line. Bit of a pain in the wotsits, but if you start from scratch and add the hyperlinks at the end it should work.

On a side note,  i'd like my sales links to use the waste of white space to the right,  but i cannot get them to line up.  I reckon i could get 2 or 3 links on one line , but the formatting wont have it.  Just tries to make  3 links into one big one :)

So they're one beneath the other.

Put them al on the same line, make each one a different colour and centralise them. Sorted.

I also have a tape somewhere that could do with copying.

Possibly more problematic, I also have a couple (?) of Betamax tapes that some old studio sessions (late ‘80s) were mixed down onto, that being the preferred method of the (local) studio at the time. I have no idea whether they’re playable or suitable for copying to digital, but would love to find out. Anyone know anywhere that might be able to copy these? Or are they likely to be dead in the water?

Give Simon a buzz at Big Noise Studio. I’ll be surprised if he can’t help. Tell him I recommended him.

  6. Bizarre update....

Just had a call from the guy who is sorting out the transfer. It's all done with no issues, but his starter for 10 was 'Is that Andy ****** on vocals?'. I have to say I have long forgotten most of the names involved, but he was spot on with the singer, drummer and where we all lived at the time. I'm now going to see if I can find the others via social media and share the results with them.

I don't have the files yet. Will share in due course....but please, don't expect too much.

My digital scales are inaccessible at the moment (buried in storage) but the previous owner estimated 4.1Kg which feels about right to me. It's certainly not a boat-anchor but, then again, it's not super-light like a Ritter or Sadowsky.

Hope that helps a bit :)

Fixed - at least I think that's what you meant?

9lbs sounds very jolly reasonable. May need to sell something first though 😬
