dangerboy
That headstock says 'K', doesn't it? Paging bassassin and Musky to this thread!
Paul_C
looks like a Kay - the two on the right have a similar headstock shape :
PeaceFrog
Yeah, I think that it is a Kay, seeing as the headstock and the logo on the head all look similar. Thanks for your help
OutToPlayJazz
Quite similar to the new FretKing Super 80 Ventura bass as reviewed in last month's BGM... Bassassin
Definitely a 60s Kay, & related to the two in Paul C's pic. I can't be more specific (60s weirdos aren't really my thing) but possibly Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese, East German or even American in origin, because basically Kays were made anywhere cheap guitars were made. You might get an exact ID if you ask on the "Guitars Of Unknown Origin" board at the www.vintaxe.com forum. Jon.
dlloyd
I once found a Kay electric guitar at a car boot sale... Looked cool, but completely unplayable. It had about a two inch action at the final fret. The guy wanted £60 for it... he reckoned it was worth that because Eric Clapton played one (!)
