So where do I go?
To the best place on Earth. BassChat!!

This is one of my favourite new bands.. they are a newly formed Supergroup. Probably not well known yet as they are a pretty underground style, but I really would love to know what Bass Effect anybody would say the bass uses in parts of this song..
Im thinking some sort of OD but im not too sure.
Wondering if I can get a really similar sound through my Sansamp Driver..

Sorry :) I could only stand 1 minute of that clip & TBH don't think I could hear any bass, or is that the *empty* bit?
I also can't hear bugger all bass, however in a small fraction of that song when the rest of the band is observing a very short STFU pause I could hear some kind of P bass with a bit of flanger, but for the rest, the youtube quality of it is bad and doesn't come through clearly.
:) Glad it's not just me

ah damn :\
yeahh it may be due to the youtube quality, I have the actual song on my iPod so I can hear it very well. the bass on that is mixed above the rest of the song, so i thought youtube might be able to hack it but i guess not :).

well, if it helps, im looking at parts 1:03-1:30
in that part you can hear the bass a bit more clear, even on Youtube due to other instruments and overdubs dropping out.

and Doddy, they are all from massive bands within the post-hardcore style, probably some of the biggest bands in that style, to be honest.

Right amigo, here is a much better audible version from the ever popular Grooveshark http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/search/son...0and%20Glaciers

Sadly it's not a lot better, this is a messy mix, if ever I've heard one, however from what I can make of it, it does sound like some sorta P-Bass tone control fully up and played through a few various effects but definately flanger / reverb are in there.

good luck
