Quick Orange Bass Terror Question

Hi guys, I know this is should be straightforward (if you know the answer) - I've just not had an amp where you can switch the impedance before...

If I'm running 2x 8 ohm cabs from it in parallell (one out of each socket), do I set it at 4 or 8?
And would it be the same for in series? Is there any ads/disads with either system?

I know, thats 3 questions, but help is appreciated...cheers

:)

If you are running 2x8 Ohms, set it at 4.

Why would you run in series? This would give 16 Ohms. Also, the wiring is awkward & you'd need a different socket. Are you assuming that running a cab-to-cab cable will be in series? If so, this is erroneous - it's also in parallel.

Running cabs in series is know to have a looser bottom end and if one speaker blows the whole rig cuts out. In parallel everything else continues working.
