Fender Active Jazz Preamp

I've picked up a MUM active deluxe Jazz V secondhand and wanted to double check I understand the controls.

As I understand it I've got:

Vol
Blend
Stacked Bass and Treble (cut boost)
Mid (cut boost)

Is it just the tone controls which are active, ie with everything flat is the output comparable to a passive setup or is the volume control active too?

Thanks

Thought so, thanks for replying. It's my first active so in uncharted waters a bit.

So is the general idea to balance boosting and cutting to get roughly the same overall level as flat or just season to taste and tweak the amp's gain to match?

I dont own an active Jazz but on my Ibanez I generally set eq etc on the amp and use the basses eq to fine tune the sound
