this is just epic. cant get on with alot of Yellow Jackets jazz, but im not a straight jazz man.. this is exactly the style of soul jazz i love... FANTASTIC fingerstyle bass from Jimmy... very understates slap it also.

my mum used to play a band on her record player in New Zealand in the late 70's called Light of the World when i was a snapper.. i was bloody brainwashed im sure.?. then later, my sister who is a TOTAL legend when it comes to soul jazz and funk.... she showed me this. and i was blown away...

I want to hear more of this but it looks like Soulkeepers don't record on their own or with Ledisi (unless I'm missing something). And that track doesn't seem at all typical of Ledisi's stuff.

Would welcome any hints about where to hear more like this.
