A cracking bass but the strings seem a touch too close for perfection. Anyone got any ideas if I can fit a different bridge, what sort of bridge and where I would get one from. The Bass Doc Posted December 7, 2009 Share Posted December 7, 2009 I once achieved a reasonable result by fitting two standard size saddles for strings 2&4 thus allowing all 5 to 'splay out' a bit further. If you have access to a pair of Fender sized saddles to experiment with you may find it would be a relatively cheap mod to create the desired effect. The only drawback may be the lining up of the pickup pole pieces as I remember that I fitted a stock-sized MM type pickup at the same time.
