Tobias Classic 5 "pre-Gibson"

Body: Alder with Zebrawood top,
Finish: High Gloss
Neck: Neck-Through with Maple sides, 5-pc, Pau Ferro fretboard, 34'
Pickups: Tob ias (Bartolini)
Electronics: Bartolini HR5.2-AP (upgrade), Vol (push/pull with passive option), Bal, 3-Bd-EQ, Mid freq. switch (Push/pull on Mid knob), Coil select switch - serial, parallel, outer single coil
Hardware: chrome
Manufacturing year: ca. 1990, serial no. 12xx (Burbank era, considered as "pre-Gibson")
OHSC included

All original except of the circuit which is a new Bartolini harness - original TCT circuit included ! No air pockets under the gloss finish as found on the most Tobias basses of this period.

The Burbank era is "considered" pré Gibson because this basses where still build by MikeTobias and his team...
If this disturbes you, let us call it "Pré-Nashville" than, however, it is still handbuild by Mike Tobias and his team and didn't roll out of a Gibson factory.... and that is what it is all about....

I am the previous owner of this beautiful bass and hope it will find a good home for a longer stay.
