MM Stingray 3EQ - Black/black and maple 4 for similar 5

I have a very clean and very standard 3EQ Stingray in Black with a black pickguard and a maple neck. It's about 3 years old. It has a Bass Xtender fitted. There are no issues or nasties of any description. It lives in a standard MM case that came new with it.

I've really gone over to 5 strings now and am looking for a trade for something similar in 5 strings.

I'm very much open to offers but I'm thinking along the lines of a G&L L2500 (USA) a 5 string StingRay or suchlike. I don't like really narrow string spacing and I already have an Overwater Perception 5, so something different to that too.

Other than that - try me. This is a feeler in that I'm fussy as this has been a fabulous bass and I didn't think I would get rid of it. I'd rather have something I will actually use though. I'm extremely reluctant to post... I don't mind travelling for the right deal (with reason of course).

I'll sort some better photographs when I can find some daylight if someone would like them.

Would you consider a Yamaha TRB5p? It's a lovely bass, originally bought from Gwilym here. It's been in the rainy day cupboard for a year or so...

There are a few pictures of it in this thread... although I think I may have had the DT shakes that day.

If you're interested I have several better photos I can email over

Yep - seen it. Really struggling with the sideboard-esque finish. Just doesn't say StingRay to me :) It would be a good idea in all other respects. I am in Manchester quite a lot.

Sudden flurry of PMs all replied to.

A couple of very interesting propositions too although I'm not sure the offer-I-can't refuse has come along yet.

If it makes any difference, I am (due to new ridiculous mortgage coming around the corner) trying to downsize everything a bit. I also have a TRB4ii (blue) and a G&L Tribute L2500 (blueburst) to throw into the mix if someone fancies a combination. No cash sales at the moment as the lawyer would get the money not me :)

Still looking for something "proper" and (almost certainly) 5 string.
