I've always rated Pegg's playing, close up it's quite something. He had the most gorgeous tone, I couldn't see the name on his bass. I've not posted a pic here before , i hope this works. No 5, but the 4 string centaur is a crippling 64,900 Icelandic Krone. Or, currency converted, a rather more cost-effective £307!! Crafter and their better known, even less expensive sister brand, Cruiser, are relatively inexpensive instruments, so should be within your reach.
