Wotcha

A guitard I know has asked if I know anything about WRM custom basses. Apparently he is leaving the dark side and is being swayed to play bass and has been offered a WRM four string bass. he has looked but can't find any info on line.

Anything anyone can tell me on WRM?? All responses gratefully received.. even the sarccy ones :)

Sorry to wee on anyone's fireworks here but WRM is Wild Rose Music, who were an Ebay cheapo importer/reseller from a few years ago. The bass in question is a copy of a Vester Argus - WRM sold other basses "inspired" by obscure oriental designs, including a green-stained wooden Tokai Talbo knockoff.

There's no reason to believe this ain't a decent bass - but it's not a custom instrument so don't go paying custom prices! These were probably not much more than a ton when new.

Thanks Jon, have added this obscure brand to my ever evolving Bass Encyclopedia - a project I should pick up again soon...

OT a bit here - have you in ur research for your encyclopedia came across an 80s bass maker from Devon,England area

called D'wailles, de walles (or something close to that spelling) this has been bugging me for years.

That WRM for a ton also has a warped neck :)

OT again...no, never heard of. Eccleshall is in Devon, closest I can think of. D.Wallace is an american guitarmaker. I'll keep looking...
