Owen Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I fancy being able to slow down a loop so that it sounds like someone has just turned the power off. Is there a pedal which will do this but without me dropping £300+ for a one off end of song thing? LIke this, but not as spendy Quote
Owen Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 You people are all in league with BIG FX and are forcing me to spend big money on boutique stuff. Shame on you. 1 Quote
Homatron Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I was going to suggest the Boss XS-100/XS-1 but then checked the price... similarly spendy as the above. I'd have to check but the EHX Mono Bass Synth might do something that fits the bill when paired with an expression pedal. Quote
mcnach Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Would a Digitech Whammy work? Essentially the "dive bomb" setting, which you can control with the expression pedal. 1 Quote

I had wondered about that, but do not know if it would actually sloooowww ittttt doooooooooowwwwwwwwwwn or just pitch it dow. Quote
LukeFRC Posted Thursday at 23:36 Posted Thursday at 23:36 artefakt can do that on the second fs ... It's a pretty awesome envelope filter if you could make use as that. It's also £300 and lots of editing on a computer to get the best out of it so it's got that going against it. Quote

I just had a quick play with the EHX Bass Mono Synth but there wasn't really a slowing down effect in there. Lots of menacing/sci-fi sounds possible once you get an expression pedal involved... should the need ever arise. Quote

I should probably have metioned that in the brief. Quote
LukeFRC Posted Friday at 15:44 Posted Friday at 15:44 I just messed around with my hx stomp... using expression to change the time of a delay on 100% with a time of 0.00s to something like 800ms kinda does it. issue is after 800ms it repeats the note Quote
Homatron Posted Friday at 16:42 Posted Friday at 16:42 Great thinking @LukeFRC! I wonder if an analog delay would do the job. Setting the feedback quite high and increasing delay time might get you most of the way there. I don't remember a note being repeated at the end when messing around with this in the past. Quote
Homatron Posted Friday at 16:43 Posted Friday at 16:43 That'll be 5 minutes of my Friday evening accounted for then... Quote
Owen Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago This guy does it here as well. The whole two videos are worth watching. He does some lovely stuff. https://youtu.be/9X2NB--FRFw?si=RuyoS2yE6Y9XPdYH&t=335 Quote
Owen Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Chase Bliss Blooper would do it. For more than a Tensor! Quote
