Bright Box or Tweeter Repair

Hey guys, I own a Peavey 410 TX and was just wondering if anyone else had owned them and the tweeter had blown. Also, has anyone got a spare one or know where I could get one for cheap? I've been browsing the old googlator and found lots of stuff in America and China... argh.

Finally, how much would a TE Bright Box normally go for? Just acquired a 1510X and would love to pair it up with one.

* phew *

I think that's everything!

Cheers.

I can understand that a lot of people really dislike the tweeters - I had a couple of Hartkes with AWFUL ones, made it sound really tinny. But I just want a bit of high end sparkle from the 410, it just sounds almost muffled at the moment. And what sort of alternatives are there to the bright boxes? I read somewhere on here there was a 5 tweeter box kinda thing, but the link was dead.

Thanks!

Found this - might be a tad OTT though! http://www.soundselectric.com/600w-piezo-t...-box-p-248.html

OTT maybe, but useful, no. Tweeters should never be mounted as they are in that box. Vertical or in a concave horizontal array are OK, but never a convex array. It's faulty implementations like this one by persons with no audio knowledge that give piezos an undeservedly bad name.
