Good question.

1: NeuralDSP's Mantra all-in-one vocal plugin. I tried the demo and found it very useful and easy and as someone who often gives up at the vocal stages of writing it got me to finish a few in the 14 day trial period.

2: A good random orbit sander and polisher as I have 2 bodies to do.

3: A set of good Filtertron type guitar pickups. Lollartrons or Oil City or something like that. Nice and twangy and dirty.

4: Some good fretwork tools. Fret rocker, files, that sort of thing.

5: The "never gonna happen" prezzie - I'd love a shed big enough to be a little workshop, with power and lighting and so on. At the moment I use my work desk to work on instruments so I can't leave anything overnight on a weekday as I need the desk to earn money. It's very frustrating. A big shed would be ace. Alternatively my kids could move out and I could use a bedroom! :D

1. DJ Mixer or sound desk: I need a phono preamp for vinyl at home, I also need a way of having my synth and bass and iPad and mix going through a mixer with an effects loop (home studio and potentially live use). A decent 4 channel DJ mixer with Phono inputs could do this (e.g. Allen & Heath Xone 43, £550), or perhaps a mixing desk (e.g. Yamaha MG 12 XU, £350) but that Yamaha would need a seperate phono preamp.

2. 4 string passive Jazz Bass. My main Bass is a 5 string active but it'd be nice to have something a bit different as backup.

....I dunno, but I think that is it (which is just as well as that short list is gonna be a stretch for Santa's budget!). I usually have a massive shopping list but I'm happy with my current Bass setup (Ibanez EHB 1005MS is decent enough and is lightweight for rehearsals and gigs, Ashdown RM 500 does the job, Markbass 102 is lightweight and good sound, Boss GX-10 covers most effects I need).

Lady Ez and me don’t do Christmas presents any more so the first 2 questions are moot. So then we’re into the money no object question. A decent double bass is always going to be in there and I’ve recently developed ’Ray type GAS. However, given my weight requirements it would have to be chambered, which means a custom build and if that’s the requirement, it would also be medium scale and probably passive. That said, Sadowsky do a MM pickup only that comes in at my weight requirements, so that would be an option too.
