Japhet Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Picked up a Fender Rumble 500 (2x10) last week. Had it out on a gig last night and really pleased with it. My other stuff is heads and cabinets and whilst it's mostly light and manageable it's a bit of a faff carrying it all in and then hooking it all up, so I wanted something dead easy and the Rumble hits the spot. Used it last night with no effects board just to see how it sounded and it was fine. I'll probably use the board in future for the convenience of a tuner/mute and the Thumpinator which tightens up the low end. Would have gone for an 800 but this thing is plenty loud for pub gigs so that would have been overkill. All in all, couldn't be happier since it's also like new and I got it for £450. 4 Quote
Lozz196 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Nice one, decent amps, heard a good few in action and always sounded great. Iāve the 800 version and although Iāve both not used it yet and am stopping gigging Iām keeping hold, never know when I might need it. I bought it for similar reasons, good sound, lightweight, and easy to set up. Quote
Linus27 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I've done a few gigs using an in house Fender Rumble combo 500 and I've always had compliments the two times I used it including mid gig from the singer who turned to me and commented on how good it sounded. I'm super tempted to pick one up. Quote
ossyrocks Posted 52 minutes ago Posted 52 minutes ago I do like the Rumbles. Ā I did a gig last weekend at Lancaster Music Festival, where the band before us had offered use of their PA, lights backline and engineer, because set up times were tight, and there was no time to break theirs down and set ours up. Yes please we said. I did try to find out what I'd be playing through, but I didn't find out in advance. Then on the day their bass player walked in with a Rumble 100. Hmm, I thought, this might not cut it. Sound check allayed all my fears, and the amp was just great all night.Ā In fact a perfect foil to my P bass with flats.Ā Ā Rob Quote
