kevin_lindsay Posted September 23, 2025 Posted September 23, 2025 (edited) I am really pleased with the Paisley P-Bass I made recently. Next up is a Jazz Bass. I've decided to just use clear gloss coats on this one, without the tinted ageing i used previously. The body finish will have some lacquer crazing when it's completed. kevin_lindsay Posted December 16, 2025 Author Posted December 16, 2025 The Paisley Jazz Bass is going to Rob Harris (guitarist from Jamiroquai) in the first week after New Year. 7 Quote
kevin_lindsay Posted December 27, 2025 Author Posted December 27, 2025 And the bass is now in transit to Rob Harris of Jamiroquai. Quote
kevin_lindsay Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 (edited) Here's Rob Harris playing his new "Dan Huff switching" modified Strat - for an 80s sound. The bass on the track is Rob playing the Paisley Jazz Bass. Edited Thursday at 06:10 by kevin_lindsay 2 Quote
Owen Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I played some nice dry single note stuff like that last night. Well it was kind of like that once I had hard quantised it. Like that without the tone. Quote
snorkie635 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 When is the Lindsay 'Motherwell Bass' coming out Kevin? These look great. 1 Quote
Silky999 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Lovely bits of kit! How did you get the paisley onto the bodies? Quote
kevin_lindsay Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 Paisley paper from Rothko & Frost, applied using Titebond (to give a secure bond. Plus, I had a big bottle of it in my guitar bits stash). Quote
Silky999 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Oooooo…..that’s peaked my creative interest, I am going to have to try that now! Quote
