Paisley Jazz Bass

I am really pleased with the Paisley P-Bass I made recently.

 

Next up is a Jazz Bass.

I've decided to just use clear gloss coats on this one,  without the tinted ageing i used previously. 

The body finish will have some lacquer crazing when it's completed.

The Paisley Jazz Bass is going to Rob Harris (guitarist from Jamiroquai) in the first week after New Year.

And the bass is now in transit to Rob Harris of Jamiroquai.

I played some nice dry single note stuff like that last night. Well it was kind of like that once I had hard quantised it. Like that without the tone.

Paisley paper from Rothko & Frost,  applied using Titebond (to give a secure bond. Plus, I had a big bottle of it in my guitar bits stash).
