TheBassCripple Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Hi everyone, Just ulling my '82 Peavey TNT130 to bits to put new capacitors in and pulled the speaker so I could examine the back of it. It is definately not the original speaker, doesn't look like any Peavey speaker I can find. It is really heavy, cast aluminium, I tested it and it is 4ohms. Thanks in advance. Quote
stevie Posted August 25 Posted August 25 It looks like the kind of heatsink that Gauss used to fit. As it's an American brand, Bill will no doubt have more information. Quote

Hellzero Posted August 25 Posted August 25 After searching as the push button for the wires were looking familiar, I found that the HH 1500 is really similar except that their heatsinks were black painted, but maybe it's another series. 1 Quote
Bill Fitzmaurice Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Looks the same to me, other than the paint. If the OP's was an OEM that might explain it, as OEM very often left out cosmetic touches. 1 Quote

It certainly looks the same apart from the paint. 1 Quote
TheBassCripple Posted August 27 Author Posted August 27 Yep! I think you have cracked it! The fins and the casting are identical. Seems like a decent speaker to be honest. And there's some slight paint runs in it so I think it has been sprayed at some point. Thanks so much 1 Quote
