Jaybeevee Posted August 22 Posted August 22 (edited) Only had a couple of hours with it, and just got in after giving the basses a run out on it, and yeah, glad I pulled the trigger. This a really nice amp, (and many a really nice amp has passed through here I can tell you). It's got more authority than my Thundefunk and is sweeter sounding. Close though. The TF really holds up well. It's got easy the authority of my Walkabout, but more defined. M6 carbine is more brutal and has more presence, but the Glock is really useable, beautifully precise. and made my basses sound the best I´ve ever heard them. Merton Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Having owned the Blue Rock head a few years back I am intrigued by this. I thought that was a superb amp - and probably in terms of build quality and component spec, the Rolls Royce of amps - I just found that the Trace TE-1200 had a better natural tone for me, and had to work harder with the Glock to get it in the same happy place. But I reckon the Glock would be a more versatile head all told; this should in theory be more of the same good DNA! Quote
itu Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago My bandmates wanted a different sound to certain songs. I put an SWR Interstellar Overdrive to the Glockenklang Soul power amp in. I can say that the power amp sounds really good with another (good sounding) preamp, too. Quote
