StingRayBoy42 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I'm after a decent stand that folds up to be as (small and) flat as possible. Must be sturdy AF and fold up to be as flat as a very flat thing. I like the folding Hercules ones but they're bulky when folded up - Any recommendations? Ta! Quote
simonlittle Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I’ve seen a few guitarists using these K&M stands. I’m sure they could handle a bass… https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/KandM-17581-Heli-2-Electric-Guitar-Stand-Black/1YZ5?origin=product-ads&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22290702940&gbraid=0AAAAAD_kjLRlsHmsJiER70uSV0b6kZVO_&gclid=Cj0KCQjwnovFBhDnARIsAO4V7mC-U_GJ_w_DSSP58fTh0Q0ZFaAaMmQ0rX9uyswijgE3b_9k59j6gQ0aAtu7EALw_wcB 1 Quote
tauzero Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago There were a few suggestions in a thread that was in General Discussion. I don't think the Stagg that I recommended would be suitable for you as it doesn't fold down particularly small. 1 Quote
probonopublico Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Hi, If you have a look at the thread I started a few weeks back there's some great suggestions. I've had quite a lot of stands and the best one was my Ultimate which was nicked from a gig. The floor ones I don't trust as I had a bouzouki fall off on stage. Like a bass it has a long neck. I find the Hercules too bulky as with all of those with a grabber neck. The Ultimate was the best compromise between safety and folding compact. This one: https://amzn.eu/d/buVLt2S It shows the stand folded up Quote
Bassman68 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I’ve been on a search myself over the last year for a compact, sturdy stand for when I fly with my bass. The best I have found, that doesn’t wobble is the Hercules Travelite. It folds flat & I can fit it in the front pocket of my Gator Pro gig bag, I’ve used it at a couple of festivals & it impressed me that much that it now lives in the bottom of my Pelicase as a spare emergency stand on most of my regular gigs or if I’m travelling light.. It even supports Jazz bass bodies as there is enough back/body support, if you move the bass ‘off centre’? Quote
