Versatile Ampeg based tube preamp/DI pedal in good condition. Runs off 12V (cable/plug included).  Bought recently on the forum but I am happier (and have years of experience with) my simple Sansamp, so am putting this up for sale. I paid £285 delivered and am hoping to recoup this. NO TRADES thanks!

The pedal needs 500mA at 12V. It could be that when the voltage is stepped up, the available current is lowered proportionally so a 500mA 9V output would then become 375mA at 12V. (That’s how it functions on my Strymon Zuma.) I’ve also seen some converters (such as the one by One Spot) that has a capped amount of current it can convert; again, this may be what happened in your case.

 

This was mine previously and is a lovely pedal.

To be clear, asking £265 delivered for the Flex preamp (and I will hang on to the 9V to 12V Gigrig converter referred to a few posts above which doesn't work with the pedal anyway!)

Partly put up for sale in a fit of pique as it wasn't working with my pedal board power supply. Going to give this another go as it does sound lovely when properly powered. Withdrawing

Flip flopping again...sounds lovely/warm/valvey but not enough grit/gnarliness/OD for my needs.

 

Back up FS. No trades sorry as I have what I need pedal-wise
