If I dont play my dB for a few weeks it seems to stiffen up... A few hours of bow playing and it starts to sing again. Maybe I'm imagining it because it doesn't seem very logical..but it works for me 😁 3 Quote
zbd1960 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Definitely if you get the chance sign-up for a play day somewhere. The UK Amateur Orchestras FB page regularly has adverts from groups organising them - and there is a specific page as well for play days (UK Orchestra Play Days). These are ad-hoc events with no commitment beyond the day. 2 Quote
TorturedSaints Posted September 9 Posted September 9 (edited) Also look for the Benedetti Foundation Adult Playdays. I’ve just been on one this weekend, playing Mvt 2 and 3 from Tchaikovsky String Serenade and it was great experience. Professional tutors and a very relaxed, but focused day. https://www.benedettifoundation.org/adults Edited September 9 by TorturedSaints Link added Quote
