***PRICE DROP - NOW £400***

This is the best speaker cab I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned so many great brands including Markbass, Glockenlang, Phill Jones… almost everything.

It’s a 3-way system. 12” speaker for lows, 6” speaker for mids, and 2 high frequency drivers. I love this cab, but have to let it go as I’m moving and it’s more practical for me to own a small combo amp for a while. Cab is 9/10 years old. Working perfectly.

More info here. With import duty these cabs are closer to £1400 new.

Did you own the El whappo?? Huge cab, I’d say. Yeah they’re so rare. Serious cabs. It’s an amazing allrounder cab, but I find it especially good for double bass. It’s just so clear and neutral, but not sterile sounding.

Man these cabs sound amazing! I have one and a base 12 but I often use it the tri 112 on its own as it doesn’t have any trouble with pushing out lows or volume in general.

i love mine so much, good luck with the sale, I’m sure it won’t stick around very long.

Thanks for the positive comments, guys. I bought a new double bass recently. Kind of over spent on it 😅 so eager to sell the cab now. Spread the word! It really is a beautiful sounding cab. For me the double bass is the real test. No other cabs can take care of double bass like it. Most balanced and smooth sounding cab of all time in my books. I’ve replaced it with a Markbass 112 combo purely to save space and make commuting easier. I’m sometimes without a car. Had to be done. I’ll be getting another Accugroove down the line!

I bought a MB 212 (the ceramic version) to have a one box 4ohm option that fits in our small car but I’m keeping my pair of Accugrooves for now. The Markbass works but it’s not as good as a pair of Accugrooves. The wife hasn’t noticed the extra box (yet).

If I had a good excuse to have a second Tri12L I would; easily one of the best cabs, period.

To have a back-up cab?? 😅😂 No one has even tried the cab out yet. I’m amazed. I’ve advertised it at £400 now.

Probably to have as a 4ohm pair. When I’ve used mine together they are much more than the sum of their parts 🙂

A tale to help explain how good I think these cabs are.

I've been through a bit of chopping and changing with my rig. I was using one Accugroove Tri112L for band rehearsal and very occasionally both when needed. I decided to get a one cab solution so I had more headroom available with one cab. I bought a MarkBass MB58R P-4. A 600W 4ohm 17.5Kg 2 x 12 with ceramic speakers. I normally use a 'backup' Peavey MiniMax 600W head with it.

With the Accugrooves I've was using my GK800 Legacy. I took both rigs along to our last rehearsal. The Accugrooves and the GK won hands down. I haven't tried swapping the heads around but the experience shows just how good these Accugrooves are.

Ah thanks so much for this! It’s pretty hard to get the word out about these cans all right. They’re pretty special. I’ve used mine with a Glockenklang Bass Art or a Glockenklang Blue Sky. They’re killer speakers. So balanced and articulate. They’re especially good for double bass. I mean I just think double bass is so hard to amplify. Most of the so called acoustic set-ups out there are pretty horrendous. I really loved the Bass Art and Accugroove set-up. Just have had to scale down. Having to use public transport a lot with double bass and amp these days so having the accurgroove and head bass heads is not working out. Thanks for your review of the Accugroove here anyway! Might help entice someone to buy.
