Is there any way an external input can be used to speed/key adjust or would it require burning a CD of the track to play in the machine? I had a look on the Tascam site but no joy.

No, I don’t think so. There was an MP3 version as well, but I believe you still had to preload the tracks. Bit old-school tech I’m afraid!
