Epiphany T-bird Pro fault

I just picked up my bass after a long time not playing (say 4 years), and the output is failing (very intermittent) ... so I decided to open up the back plate ... there's a black box with 10 wires coming out of it (well 9, and 1 stray red wire).

The red wire being loose seems to be the issue, I tried pushing it back into the box, and the Bass works.

The problem I have is;

A) how do I get the wire permanently attached back into the box (it seems sealed) - is it even possible?

B) if I can't, and then need a new"black box". How do I go about sourcing one? There are no part identifying markings on it.

I hope someone can help

Karl

That wire requires a crimp to keep it in the housing, but the conundrum here is knowing the type of crimp that is required and removing the one already in there. The other thing you could do is make the bass passive then it will at least sound a bit more like a Thunderbird should.
