Whomesee Posted June 6 Posted June 6 (edited) I’ve had better luck posting short clips rather than full tracks, especially things with a bit of humour or a surprising moment. Got more interaction that way, and oddly enough, one of my posts about a broken string mid-song got traction after someone shared it. I once tested free tiktok likes—it did give a tiny bump at the start. Edited Tuesday at 07:37 by Whomesee Quote

Engagement’s decent when I keep things casual and consistent, but I’ve noticed longer videos get less attention than quick clips. What's your name/ handle/ address on there, please? 1 Quote
nekomatic Posted June 6 Posted June 6 I’ve recently started using Instagram, ‘read-only’, in order to follow some bands or musicians, because it’s so much easier there than on the tar pit that is Facebook (and let’s not mention Twitter). I don’t mind at all if they post some non-music stuff as long as it doesn’t drown out the music and gig info that I mainly want to see. 2 Quote
msb Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I have Instagram and Facebook accounts. As a retired photographer , bass player and amp nerd I put up pics. And the odd garden pic. Spend more time on Facebook than Instagram. The pics , except for the garden shots are just generally done with an IPad. https://www.instagram.com/scotbrownmorrow/ https://www.facebook.com/morrow.scotbrown Quote
