1991(?) BC Rich Mockingbird​®️​ NJ Series - *SOLD* £600 Leatherhead

Welcome to my listing for a rather beautiful BC Mockingbird Bass, which I think I bought on this very forum back in 2015. From what I can gather, it's a Korean (possibly Japanese) NJ Series from 1991. In excellent original condition, with no modifications. The only blemish is a small area of scratched finish on the back of the body (see last pic). It weighs a fair bit, and sounds fantastic thanks to the stock dual p-bass pick up configuration. The diamond inlays, high mass bridge, "R" branded tuners and brass nut really set it off.

It's a really well made guitar, which I had planned to keep forever, however as mentioned in another listing, a wrist injury prevents me from playing this comfortably. The neck is a perfect profile, but where the guitar sits on a strap means the first fret feels about a mile away from my body.

 

No case, so collection only I'm afraid. I can travel a distance to meet up if you're coming far. Just drop me a message.

 

Pretty hard to price these at the moment. I haven't seen a model like this come up for sale for... well, ever. So I don't feel I'm asking daft money, but feel free to tell me otherwise  Will also consider PX w/cash either way for quality medium scale bass, or a 2003 Fender Highway One P-Bass.

I bought it new in the early 90's so 1991 sounds about right.

Ah then it was you who I bought her off I remember the tea and biscuits well  - nice one.

 

It hasn't sat dormant all this time, you'll be pleased to hear. I did gig it a handful of times through my big old Trace Elliot.
