OLP Stingray with significant upgrades - *SOLD* £275 Portsmouth

I tried, but a Stingray is just not for me.

 

This is a really good playing OLP Stingray that has been very well upgraded to include a Nordstrand MM4.2 pickup and a Retrovibe Stinger pre-amp. I have to say that I had very managed expectations when I bought it, but it is a superb bass. Not a bad weight, too, at 9.4lbs.

 

I am down near Portsmouth, for those that want to give it a go. I am happy to travel a reasonable distance to save delivery, but will pack it fairly safely if I have to post it. Postage costs will be in addition to the quoted price (which is what I paid for it). This is the perfect way to dip your toes in the Stingray water, or to have a very capable back up.

if my status neck was a stingray one instead of a jazz i,d of had this with zero hesitation. 

We've all been on a budget at some time, i don't think you could spend a better £275, great upgrades and that body,s looks like a nice slab tbf.

It is contoured, to be completely accurate. That said it's a way better instrument than the price suggests.

In truth, I'd probably rate this higher than the Sterling SUB, with the Nordy and Stinger preamp on board.
